Punpun no entendía en lo absoluto de qué se trataba eso que llamaban "juventud". Alardear, presumir, gritar cosas que no debes decir, callarte lo que quieres decir... todo eso no es más que una molestia. Pero un día será un adulto. "Era tan joven, fueron buenos tiempos." Las probabilidades de que llegara a decir eso se veían muy lejanas. Punpun comenzaba a perder las ganas de vivir.

Si dentro de dos años, cuando fuera el momento de renovar el contrato su situación no hubiera cambiado en lo absoluto, entonces él... se quitaría la vida.

Sin embargo, ¿por qué me sigo sintiendo así? ¿Realmente está bien vivir de una manera tan simple? En mi interior deseo una vida más dinámica.

Pienso que la verdadera libertad solo se puede obtener cuando estás determinado a abandonarlo todo. ¡Pero no creo que esa libertad lleve a la verdadera felicidad! ¡Porque la felicidad de encuentra solo en un instante, no es un estado permanente! ¡Así es! ¡Las personas vagan por la vida anhelando una verdad que no existe! ¡Por eso siempre me siento abatido! ¡Porque los humanos son unas criaturas débiles y codiciosas!

Punpun pensó: "Ya que hoy fue un día tan terrible... mañana sin duda debía esperarme un día maravilloso." Y si no era mañana, sería pasado mañana o el próximo mes, o tal vez dentro de algunos años. Sin duda llegaría un día increíble. O eso quería pensar. Era más como una plegaria. Pero... ¿a quién? Por ahora, sólo duerme. Buenas noches, Punpun.

Entiendo que eres un chico muy serio, pero no puedes huir de todo. Ignoro todo lo que has tenido que vivir, y entiendo que prefieras estar solo para no lastimar a nadie. Pero el mundo no es tan fácil como para vivir solo. Y tampoco eres tan fuerte para lograrlo. ¿O me equivoco?

No considero negativo que el autor refleje sus emociones en su obra. Sin embargo, no hay tantas personas en este mundo que se interesen en su forma de pensar.

Dijiste que ya no necesitaba pensar en nada más, pero... si eres capaz de decir eso es porque te has vuelto más fuerte. Por otro lado, soy una persona mucho más mediocre de lo que crees. ¿Por qué será... que mientras más pasa el tiempo más sola me siento?

A veces tu única esperanza es creer que algo existe, aunque no puedas verlo.
