كان غياب البديل فى رأيى أحد خطط الأنظمة القمعية لإقناع الشعوب أنهم يحصلون على أفضل المعروض. وكان النظام المصرى ينفذ هذه الخطة بإحكام, أى شخص له شعبية أو يمكن أن يبزغ كبديل يجب أن يُقضى, أو يتم تشويهه.
