In July 1947, one of the most famous UFO events in history took place.  An object crashed into the desert near Roswell, New Mexico.  The Roswell Army Air Field said that they had recovered a “flying disk”.  This made headlines in newspapers around the world.  Then the next day, the army changed its story and said it wasn’t a flying disk but a weather balloon. Many years later, witnesses said that there was an alien craft that had crashed.  Some witnesses said that there were alien bodies that had been taken away. Many books have been written about the Roswell incident.  The military still says that there was no craft and the only thing that was there was a weather balloon.  There is no way now of knowing what really happened.

My earliest memory of being on this earth is a little strange. I remember being five years old and feeling like one of those aliens that supposedly landed in Roswell, New Mexico. It’s camouflage under which religion is sold like smuggled goods in places where it doesn’t belong. To call something “faith-based” for the purposes of hiding the clearly sectarian character of what you’re actually talking about is to admit that there really is no difference between what went on at Lourdes and what went on at Roswell.

From the beginning, Kendra had assumed that Catty was from some distant planet and that her extraordinary power was actually a form of teleportation used by her people. Would Kendra even believe her if she did tell her the truth... that she was a goddess, a Daughter of the Moon, on Earth to protect people from the Followers of an ancient evil called the Atrox.

The belief in this God would become the foundation of their religion, of which purportedly spawned a charismatic leader named Jesus, the fortuitous founder of the Christian Religion.
