be the moon and inspire people, even when you're far from full.

K. Tolnoe (the moon)
β
for when there is hope in my heart and starry reflections in my eyes you cannot tell my skin from my scars
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the moon: poems to heal your heart (the northern collection Book 1))
β
more than people and places i miss moments
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the moon: poems to heal your heart (the northern collection Book 1))
β
i will always be your home and forgive you for every mistake you made on your way to yourself
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the moon: poems to heal your heart (the northern collection Book 1))
β
why was it so easy for you
to make it so hard for me?
β
β
K. Tolnoe (The Ocean)
β
if you have the ability
to imagine a better world
you also have the power
to create it
β
β
K. Tolnoe (The Orchid)
β
my universe starts and ends
in my own head
it is dominated by darkness and shadows
but filled with rare glowing colors
that are only visible
to eyes that truly wish to see
it is sprinkled with bright thoughts
that shimmer and spark like stars
my faith is made of flames
burning to give life
my dreams are planets
my ideas circling around them as moons
constantly changing and turning
coming together and drifting apart
to make things happen
even with my worries flying around
destructively like meteors
and these fears of mine
that grow into black holes
with such disastrous abilities
to suck me in
and bend my very reality
so my mind is a mystery
even i am not sure exactly
how it works
but i can promise you this
there is no place quite like it
β
β
K. Tolnoe (The Moon)
β
i tend to speak as if all i want to do is leave but in truth what i pray for in the night is peace
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the orchid: poems to love yourself (the northern collection Book 2))
β
soft to every loving touch but not as unable to protect itself from those only seeking to possess
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the orchid: poems to love yourself (the northern collection Book 2))
β
in my head the darkness never leaves but i adore the night the stars the shadows the midnight howls
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the moon: poems to heal your heart (the northern collection Book 1))
β
for whenever we try to hold on to a person a place an emotion it slips through our hands just like water
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the ocean: poems to let go (the northern collection Book 3))
β
no place is more turbulent than another human heart and so i find myself coming back again and again to the peace and quiet of my own mind
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the ocean: poems to let go (the northern collection Book 3))
β
for your fine sense of belonging your soft heart and kind hands will take you home to where you truly belong
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the orchid: poems to love yourself (the northern collection Book 2))
β
when you invite someone in the problem is that not everyone who enters is there to admire but to acquire thatβs why cats have claws and why roses grow thorns because sad as it is we live in a world where love does not equal love
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the orchid: poems to love yourself (the northern collection Book 2))
β
this is when i realized home is about connection the feeling of being softly held and sometimes you can only find that in a person not a place
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the orchid: poems to love yourself (the northern collection Book 2))
β
thatβs the curse of being a writer i adopt everyoneβs feelings and let them live in my skin the mindbreaks and their heartaches as if my own werenβt enough
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the moon: poems to heal your heart (the northern collection Book 1))
β
it is only the moon that hears our true wishes our deepest worries our worst regrets she knows the darkness and understands our loneliness for just like us she belongs to the night and maybe that is why in our darkest hour the moon is the one in whom we confide
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the moon: poems to heal your heart (the northern collection Book 1))
β
the bottom of my soul is mine alone i am held by the things that i love the music and the art the words that i will never write no matter how far i wander i will call it home for i can always come back to it no matter how broken i become
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the ocean: poems to let go (the northern collection Book 3))
β
if there is a person that makes you want to get up and try again even if the odds are against your very existence stay there and never let go
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the orchid: poems to love yourself (the northern collection Book 2))
β
hold on to nothing but yourself
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the ocean: poems to let go (the northern collection Book 3))
β
of course i am scared i am terrified by the depths of diving down into the unknown to find myself lost in the darkest corners of my soul confused and all alone and i am unnerved by the truths i might find for once itβs done there is no coming back to a place of innocence
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the ocean: poems to let go (the northern collection Book 3))
β
i long for the infinity of my childhood where everything was possible
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the wolf: poems to find your power (the northern collection Book 4))
β
the wounds we made are too deep to heal and the words spoken too loud to be forgotten in this lifetime
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the wolf: poems to find your power (the northern collection Book 4))
β
grief is the heaviest burden we as humans must learn to carry to face the absence of what we used to love
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the wolf: poems to find your power (the northern collection Book 4))
β
we are bound to our phases and like the moon we can never remain whole
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the wolf: poems to find your power (the northern collection Book 4))
β
and we must learn how to mourn the opportunities and the people that we have lost even though they still exist right in front of us
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the wolf: poems to find your power (the northern collection Book 4))
β
thatβs the thing about wild creatures that broke out of their cages they will never allow themselves to be locked up again and so they fly away from everything that resembles a prison even if itβs made of flowers and honey
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the wolf: poems to find your power (the northern collection Book 4))
β
they would rather give up the hope of being happy than the sense of being free so if you love a wild heart let it breathe
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the wolf: poems to find your power (the northern collection Book 4))
β
i am not one to paint with red but spill the blood of me and those i love and i will come back to claim yours
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the wolf: poems to find your power (the northern collection Book 4))
β
- the right choice will never feel wrong
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the wolf: poems to find your power (the northern collection Book 4))
β
so in the very same way that bees are drawn to flowers turtles are pulled to the ocean and the wolf is called to the moon you will gravitate to a place where everything and everyone complements you
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the wolf: poems to find your power (the northern collection Book 4))
β
for all roads are connected and wherever your journey takes you it will eventually bring you home a place where you are safe and held a place to belong
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the wolf: poems to find your power (the northern collection Book 4))
β
sometimes the downfall shows itself a true blessing sometimes the ruin is the change weβve been waiting for because maybe the place we land in is what we were searching for all along
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the wolf: poems to find your power (the northern collection Book 4))
β
sometimes the right place is a person
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the orchid: poems to love yourself (the northern collection Book 2))
β
it matters who holds you who supports you who welcomes you home even when youβve been gone for too long
β
β
K. Tolnoe (the orchid: poems to love yourself (the northern collection Book 2))
β
he asked me
"did you hope for more?"
and I said
"I always do
β
β
K. Tolnoe (The Orchid)
β
and the wolf is called to the moon
β
β
k.tolnoe (The Wolf)
β
we can't have light all the time
the sun must go down
and then comes the night
but there is no reason to hide
just yet
for some of us are made for this
the soft moonlight
the shimmering stars
and the tar black night sky
some of us need to break
before we can unfold
some of us must cry
to water our roots
some flowers need the darkness
to bloom
and create beauty
in the sorrow and the gloom
so don't shy away from the night
for this may be your time
to shine
β
β
K. Tolnoe (The Moon)
β
time is the breath
of the universe
it knows what has been
and what will be
so instead of blaming it
and wishing for a different
hour - day - month - or year
instead of forcing things
by speeding them up
or slowing them down
try to have faith
that everything happens
when it should
for there is always a reason
even if it's one
we'll never know
