The CDC found that 42 percent of packaged meat products sold at three national chain grocery stores sampled contained toxin-producing C. diff bacteria.136 The United States, it turns out, has the highest reported levels of C. diff meat contamination in the world.137

In 2005, according to the CDC, eleven Americans died of all food allergies—that is, adults as well as children, and from an allergy to any food, not just peanuts. Yet schools across America have banned peanuts and peanut butter, among the few protein-rich foods many children like to eat. Compare this with about ten thousand children who are hospitalized each year for sports-related traumatic brain injuries. The hysteria has been led by school officials, the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, and Consumer Reports, a liberal magazine that helped stoke the hysteria about secondhand smoke. It is mind-boggling that schools have banned peanut butter. But in the Age of Hysteria, one child who might die suffices to ban a food for the millions of students who would benefit from it.

The label ‘Chronic Fatigue Syndrome’ was first proposed by Holmes et al. (1988) of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). This name was recommended to replace that of a number of terms that implied a causal pathology (e.g. ‘Myalgic Encephalomyelitis’, ‘Post-Viral Fatigue Syndrome’ and ‘chronic Epstein-Barr virus syndrome’), as there was a lack of correlation between biological markers and symptomatology. Hence, this new label reflected the prime clinical characteristic of the condition without alluding to an underlying physical aetiology and, in turn, the definition was based upon signs and symptoms of the patient group. However, many individuals use the term Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (indicating muscle pain and inflammation of the brain), a fact that is reflected by the titles of the two largest charitable organisations in the UK, the ME Association and Action for ME.

Of course, pregnant women are no less in need of safe, effective medical treatments than anyone else. Each year, over 400,000 women in the United States battle significant illnesses while pregnant. And many women have chronic conditions, from hypertension to autoimmune diseases to depression, that they must manage with medications. As bioethicist Francoise Baylis wrote in a 2010 Nature article, 'Pregnant women get sick, and sick women get pregnant.' Indeed, 90 percent of women take some medication during pregnancy, and about 70 percent take a prescription drug, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The average woman receives 1.3 prescriptions per obstetric visit, and nearly two-thirds of women use four to five medications during pregnancy and labor. But with little actual research to go on, doctors are simply guessing at how drugs will affect a pregnant body, and their best predictions can be disastrously off.

Extremists believe they’re doing the will of Allah and if they do their part they will be rewarded with a lifetime in paradise. Recruits are conditioned and brainwashed to believe this. Unfortunately, ISIS is extremely successful in this regard. They’re a powerful recruiting machine. They spend millions on propaganda, very effective propaganda, and it’s all over the internet.

In the midst of a pandemic, with hundreds of thousands of deaths attributed to COVID, and the economy in free fall, Dr. Fauci’s suggestion that we withhold promising treatments that have an established safety profile—from patients who have a potentially lethal disease—pending the completion of randomized controlled clinical trials, is highly manipulative and utterly unethical. It is not medically ethical to allow a COVID-19 patient to deteriorate in the early stages of the infection when there is an inexpensive, safe, and demonstrably effective HCQ treatment that CDC’s and NIAID’s own studies show blocks coronavirus replication. It would be equally unethical to enroll sick individuals in such studies—as Dr. Fauci proposes—in which half the infected patients would receive a placebo.

The media was rabid. Anonymous “officials” were quoted saying that the document was “published against scientists’ objections”—as if the scientists they always trusted, Fauci, Birx, the CDC, HHS, and the FDA, had not all approved and written it; as if the director of the CDC himself had not written, finalized, and then published the document himself. The blame was directed against HHS officials or me or the president—anyone except Fauci and Birx—because it simply had to be that way. An unending stream of wild accusations and smears filled the media, all from people who knew nothing about the truth. Pure speculation was published and repeated endlessly as fact.

In July 2021, the CDC found that fully vaccinated individuals who contract the infection have as high a viral load in their nasal passages as unvaccinated individuals who get infected. This means the vaccinated are just as infectious as the unvaccinated.

For CDC chief Redfield the Chinese failure to close down international flights was disastrous. He told colleagues the United States had silently filled with Covid-19 infections “from Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Great Britain, Belgium.” All this late-winter travel brought clusters of Covid to the United States. “Also unknown to us that probably half of those clusters weren’t even symptomatic, so you couldn’t find them” with airport screening. “It was difficult to understand how China had aggressive travel restrictions within China, and yet did not move to any travel restrictions” for people who wanted to leave China and go abroad, Redfield said. “If there could have been one major, global action that could’ve really saved hundreds of thousands of lives, it’s if they had just shut down their out-of-China travel at the same time they shut down their intra-China travel. “They really started moving in the latter part of January. That’s where they quarantined people. That’s where they shut down the city. That’s where they stopped the trains. They really locked down all of Wuhan at one point. I think they quarantined over 11 million people. You couldn’t go from Wuhan to Beijing, but you could go Wuhan to London.

It’s hard to know exactly how many children are killed or maimed by guns because in 1996, Rep. Jay Dickey, R-Ark., at the behest of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and weapons manufacturers, attached the Dickey Amendment to a must-pass omnibus spending bill, making it illegal for the CDC to keep track of or analyze the data. Congress simultaneously cut the CDC’s budget by the exact amount it had been spending to track gun violence.10 (Sixteen years later, Dickey essentially apologized in a Washington Post op-ed, calling for research into gun violence.11 As he later told ABC, “I wish I had not been so reactionary.”12)

The dominant narrative over this time period remained that the White House pressured the CDC to subdue certain reporting. The record shows political actions certainly played a role in the suppression of some critical information. But there was another problem afoot. The CDC didn’t have all the pertinent information in the first place, or the ability to collect it in a reliable fashion that would enable timely reporting.

In other words, the number of hospitalizations that the CDC was reporting each day weren’t people who were actually being admitted to the hospital but were hypothetical patients being modeled off a small sample that the CDC was collecting.16 The CDC reported on the number of hospitalizations each day as if it were tabulating these totals, but it wasn’t. Making matters more uncertain, the data that underpinned that modeling exercise was being lifted from a system that had been built years earlier as a way to monitor the prevalence of hospital-acquired infections like urinary tract infections and hospital-acquired pneumonias, not for tracking hospital admissions.

Deborah Birx convinced the Coronavirus Task Force to direct money to the CDC to modernize its reporting of the COVID hospital data, but the CDC said no. Birx had previously worked at the CDC for nearly a decade, running the agency’s global HIV/AIDS division. After that, she had continued to collaborate with the CDC in her role as the US global AIDS coordinator, an ambassador-level job inside the State Department. Now, prodding the CDC to reform the way it collected hospital data, she found it was hard to get the agency to change approaches.

The public is willing to follow sensible, evidence-based directions. But experts can only ask people to sacrifice so much before resistance starts to form, given the potential social and economic hardship. If the CDC expects Americans to follow its guidance, it will have to be more transparent and get the public invested in how these decisions are made.

The federal government had bought the entire available supply, and HHS needed to know where to ship its limited doses, to make sure that the scarce medicine would get to those hospitalized patients who might benefit most from the treatments. However, the CDC didn’t have actual data on who was currently hospitalized for COVID, just estimates built off a model. They couldn’t tell HHS where real patients were, only hypothetical patients that were being extrapolated from an algorithm.

The simulation, dubbed Crimson Contagion, was a joint exercise conducted from January to August 2019 that aimed to test the capacity of the federal government and twelve states to respond to a severe pandemic flu originating in China. In the scenario they drilled, tourists returning from China spread a respiratory virus in the US, beginning in Chicago. In less than two months, the virus had infected 110 million Americans, killing more than half a million. The report issued at the conclusion of the exercise was ominous.56 Federal agencies fought over who was in charge. There were shortages of protective gear like N95 respirators and ventilators. States went their own way on mitigation, with some states refusing a CDC directive to close schools as a way to limit spread.

And yet the CDC wasn’t the right agency to take ownership of anticipating and developing strategies to counter national security threats, because it possesses a retrospective mind-set.

the CDC, under Robert Redfield, had been disgraced. It had let itself be used by the Trump administration to lead the United States in a direction opposite to the direction the United States had once led the world.

the insights at the heart of her project had become the official policy of the United States government, and were spreading rapidly from the CDC to the rest of the world.

Birx said that the government couldn’t ship scarce doses of the valuable medicine to treat estimated patients that were hypothetically hospitalized according to a mathematical formula. So she gave hospitals an ultimatum. If they wanted to get access to remdesivir, they would need to start reporting real data on the total number of COVID patients that they admitted each day. Hospitals quickly started to comply, reporting actual data on their total daily hospitalizations to a new portal that Birx had helped set up inside HHS. Rather than try to cajole the CDC into fixing its reporting system, Ambassador Birx and Secretary Azar decided to re-create that structure outside the agency. They had concluded that getting the CDC to change its own scheme, and abandon its historical approach to modeling these data, would have been too hard.

Later, in 2006, Congress appropriated funds to improve the CDC’s system for detecting and reporting on novel threats, directing the agency to “establish a near real-time electronic nationwide public health situational awareness capability” to “share data and information to enhance early detection of rapid response to, and management of, potentially catastrophic infectious disease outbreaks”; but the CDC never implemented the called-for changes.

However, Hatchett and Mecher’s modeling, and the deep dive into the history of the Spanish flu, started to change minds inside the public health establishment, and especially the CDC. The findings on the NPIs from 1918 were so striking that they surprised the team. The nonpharmaceutical interventions had a profound effect on slowing spread, but they needed to be adopted early in the course of a pandemic. The best way to contain a pandemic would remain through vaccination. But it might be months, or longer, before a vaccine could be made available.

In late August 2021, NIH, FDA, and CDC launched an innovative new campaign to slander ivermectin as a “horse dewormer” that only deluded foolhardy nincompoops would consume. Picking up on those themes, The Independent asked, “Ivermectin: Why Are US Anti-Vaxxers Touting a Horse Dewormer as a Cure for COVID?

The plan that we had drilled for always envisioned the CDC taking the central role in developing a test and following a very staged process in deploying it across the nation. This system could work with a slow-moving outbreak. It was no match for a fast-moving pandemic.

Two of the biggest failures was the CDC’s overestimation of the risk of spread from contaminated surfaces, and its underestimation of the risk from asymptomatic transmission. The two errors were mutually dependent.

The law required the CDC to “establish a near real-time electronic nationwide public health situational awareness capability through an interoperable network of systems to share data and information to enhance early detection of rapid response to, and management of, potentially catastrophic infectious disease outbreaks and other public health emergencies that originate domestically or abroad.”30 As Levin observed, “the simplest way to describe the CDC’s response to this binding legal mandate was that it just ignored it. It did nothing.

In the wealthiest nation in the world, black women are dying in childbirth at rates comparable to those in poorer, colonized nations. The World Health Organization estimates that black expectant and new mothers in the United States die at about the same rate as women in countries such as Mexico and Uzbekistan. The high mortality rate of black women in the United States has been documented by the CDC, which says that black women are 243 percent more likely to die from pregnancy- or childbirth-related causes than are white women.

hospitalization data away from the CDC and set up the new system, many in the media would almost reflexively cite the incident as support for a dominant narrative that the CDC was seeing its role obstructed and reduced by the political leadership at HHS and the White House.25 US senator Patty Murray sent HHS an oversight letter in which she argued that the new system was wasteful and “duplicates existing CDC work.”26 It was alleged that the Trump administration had taken the hospital reporting away from the CDC and given it to TeleTracking with a political not a public health goal in mind—political officials wanted to fudge the data to give a false rosy picture of the pandemic. Or so the narrative went. While the CDC was certainly subject to some deeply unfortunate and ultimately damaging political intrusions into its work, this wasn’t one of those instances. Some of the frustrations with the CDC’s execution had merit, and the CDC’s method for reporting COVID hospitalizations was one of those moments.

Avian Flu is on the rise both in Asia and Europe. Coincidence? I don't think so. I sent a message to the CDC in the US asking if there was any correlation between Covid-19 (Coronavirus) . This was back in August 2020. I never received a reply back. Now it is coming to fruition again. Some animals are more likely to get Covid-19 than others. So, we have to ask ourselves once more, "Is there any correlation between Covid-19 (coronavirus) and the reemergence of bird flu in so called, Covid hot spots?" I believe that there is.

CDC later admitted that only 6 percent of COVID deaths occurred in entirely healthy individuals. The remaining 94 percent suffered from an average of 3.8 potentially fatal comorbidities.24

As America’s COVID czar, Dr. Fauci never complained about CDC’s decision to skip autopsies from deaths attributed to vaccines. This practice allowed CDC to persistently claim that all deaths following vaccination were “unrelated to vaccination.” CDC

Death can be as common as the common cold. We have taken everything for granted, but we forget that we are only travelers here for a short time. So don't play the bus driver when you don't know how to drive.
