Precious child, what is the meaning of the saying, "We must die before death?" It means we must make all the evil qualities, all the qualities of satan within us, die before our death. If those qualities die, then the world within us dies. And if the world within us dies, then all the sins, ghosts, demons, and satan's contained within it also die. The desire for earth, gold, and sexual pleasure all die along with the world within us. All that is left is Allah and His power (quadrat). If all the evil qualities die within us, then we die before death and only Allah's qualities, actions and conduct will remain. Then there will be no death for us. We will have attained eternal life (hayat). If we attain eternal life, where will we live? We will live in heaven, in God's kingdom.

So then where is the kingdom of God in man? It is in the heart. That is heaven. That is God. The heart is the station of God. All that matters is there. This is where God, the soul, and the light of wisdom exist. This is a temple of God which is formed as an atom within an atom, heart within the heart, the cjalb within the cjalb. It is within what is within. It cannot be destroyed by the five elements. You must understand this. It can never be destroyed. (p. 96)

All we have learned so far amounts to only a handful of earth. What we have yet to learn is as large as the whole world. There is so much to know about the mysteries and the wealth of Allah. There is so much more to be known, and we will learn it only as our wisdom develops. We must proceed slowly, always learning more and more. (p. 8)

Exhale from your left nostril, “There is nothing other than You.” Inhale from your right nostril, “illAllāh,

Lā” is an Arabic word, a negation. “Lā ilāha”—there is nothing other than You. “IllAllāh”—You are Allāh. Exhale from your left nostril, “There is nothing other than You.” Inhale from your right nostril, “illAllāh,” You are Allāh, the One who gives abundantly without diminishment. Seat this in your heart. Of all mantras, this is the most exalted, the mantra through which you can see the One who exists in the beautiful form of bliss.

Let each of us reflect on this. O you who love God, you who have absolute faith in God! There is only one God and there is only one race. When we accept one God and one race, when we worship God without creating differences, then our prayers will be fulfilled. Only on that day will our prayers be genuine. All the time we fail to perceive that total oneness, our prayers will be the prayers which divide people. In the same way that satan divided people from one another, our prayers will divide people from one another. The qualities of satan separate us from Allah, and prayers which fail to perceive that there is only one God are prayers of separation. As long as division exists, true prayer does not exist. Only when we pray with the realization that we are all one, one family and one people, will true prayer to God occur. (p. 17)

The books in our hands can be consumed by fire, water, or air. But when God‘s words of wisdom are imprinted on our hearts, that is the Qur‘an, that is the Bible, that is the scripture, and nothing can consume them. (p. 18)

Whoever falls into this water of divine knowledge will keep changing, until the taste of Allah is within him and he becomes the beauty of Allah.

Look at yourself. You came into this world, but what you have to realize is that you came from Him and you must return to Him. The light within you has to merge with that One Light. Then the dark show of life will disappear.

When we say Sufi we mean that state in which one has attained true wisdom. The state of the Sufi is the state in which, having controlled and subdued all the other states, one becomes the resplendent sun, the resplendent light of God. One who is in this state is called a Sufi, and the state is called Sufism, or Sufi-Sun. (p. 4)

With his iman, he will split open and sift everything he sees. He will pierce through it with his wisdom and his firm certitude and determination, without allowing his mind to become fatigued, without allowing his heart to give up. If he can continue to pierce and cut through what is within everything, he will see only Allah. He will see Allah‘s wealth, Allah‘s powers, Allah‘s qualities, and nothing else. In every moment, in every tree, in every flower, and in every blade of grass, he will see only God. When he looks at an ant he will discover Allah‘s secrets. When he looks at a fruit he will be amazed and say, „What a wonder! How praiseworthy You are. How subtly You have created the fruit. What flavors it contains!“ If he looks at a honeybee he will see how much wisdom it has, how it builds its house, what qualities it has, and how it tastes the honey and shares it with everyone. (p. 4)

When you become the light of wisdom, darkness can never conceal you. (p. 40)

We will attain a state where Allah's prophets and saints become our relatives who will come to meet us and talk with us. (p. 67)

please let’s quit killing each other over books! Let’s move on to killing each other over bluegrass and salad oil and circumcision and predestination and foreplay and whose uncle is the right line, where the prepositions go, and what happens after we die.
