The principalities and powers, the world rulers of this darkness, the spiritual forces in the heavenly places, and the devil-the prince of them all-will be cast into a lake of everlasting destruction, and will have no more influence and no more power whatsoever. 'Art thou come to destroy us before the time? The time is coming! It is the time of our Lord's glorious return, and you and I who are Christians look forward to that. Thank God that in the meantime we can be 'strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might'; we can 'put on the whole armour of God'.
