SO, WHERE DOES this leave us? If we can’t rely on the market forces of supply and demand to set optimal market prices, and we can’t count on free-market mechanisms to help us maximize our utility, then we may need to look elsewhere. We are capable of many things, and of those tasks within the scope of our innate reach, we will probably only realize a small percentage of successes. Human free will allows us deliberately to determine what subjects we wish to study and what theories we desire actively to integrate into our lives.
