To all the boys who inspired this album: You should've known. ;)
Taylor Swift
I sneak a peek at his Spotify playlist, half certain it’ll be all just white noise or classic orchestral music, only to find Taylor Swift’s latest album playing instead.
Ann Liang (If You Could See the Sun)
See, the thing is I didn't think that that song would get much attention because it's such a personal song to me. I just wrote it about my childhood, and I didn't know how that would read on an album. But it's been everybody's favorite song. I didn't tell my mom. It was a total secret. So I wrote it in secret and then decided to record it secretly, so she had no idea that the song was recorded. My producers sent me the track and I synched it up to all my baby videos and I played it for her one Christmas Eve, and she bawled her eyes out. She didn't even think that it was my song. She didn't think there was any way for me to record a song without her knowing.
Taylor Swift (Taylor Swift Songbook: Guitar Recorded Versions)
I wrote a song called 'Red' and thinking about what that song means to me and all the different emotions on this album they're all pretty much about the tumultuous, crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships I've experienced in the last two years. All those emotions fanning from intense love, intense frustration, intense jealousy, confusion, all of that in my mind, all those emotions are red. There's nothing in between, there's nothing beige about those feelings and so I called my record that.

I want to be defined by the things that I love. Not the things I hate, not the things I'm afraid of, not the things that haunt me in the middle of the night. I, I just think you are what you love.
Taylor Swift (LOVER (DELUXE ALBUM VERSION 1))
Honesty game: What is your favorite Taylor Swift album, and why is it evermore?
Alison Cochrun (Kiss Her Once for Me)
Sarah had introduced us to Taylor Swift’s early albums that summer, and there was this one song I played from dawn till dusk and even sang in the shower. I just couldn’t get enough of it. Now I hummed the tune softly as if I still listened to it daily.
K.L. Walther (The Summer of Broken Rules)
I’d been at Lyla and Marissa’s apartment long enough for the Taylor Swift album that Lyla was playing to get to a song about someone’s tears ricocheting, which seemed to be a favorite of hers with the way she mouthed the lyrics. It was a sad fucking song.
Claire Contreras (Until I Get You (Fairview Hockey, #1))
Thank you to Taylor Swift, for writing evermore, the perfect Christmas album, and for releasing RED TV in the middle of my developmental edits, so I could listen to “Forever Winter” on repeat while rewriting the flashbacks in this book for the millionth time.

I always look at albums as chapters in my life. And to the fans, I’m so happy that you like this one. I’m so happy that this means that you liked this one. But I have to be really honest with you about something: I’m even more excited about the next chapter.
Kirsten Anderson (Who Is Taylor Swift? (Who Was?))
There's an old poem by Neruda that I've always been captivated by, and one of the lines in it has stuck with me ever since the first time I read it. It says "love is so short, forgetting is so long." It's a line I've related to in my saddest moments, when I needed to know someone else had felt that exact same way. And when we're trying to move on the moments we always go back to aren't the mundane ones. They are the moments you saw sparks that weren't really there, felt stars aligning without having any proof, saw your future before it happened, and then saw it slip away without any warning. These are moments of newfound hope, extreme joy, intense passion, wishful thinking, and in some cases, the unthinkable letdown. And in my mind, every one of these memories looks the same to me. I see all of these moments in bright, burning red. My experiences in love have taught me difficult lessons, especially my experiences with crazy love. The red relationships. The ones that went from zero to a hundred miles per hour and then hit a wall and exploded. And it was awful. And ridiculous. And desperate. And thrilling. And when the dust settled, it was something I’d never take back. Because there is something to be said for being young and needing someone so badly, you jump in head first without looking. And there's something to be learned from waiting all day for a train that's never coming. And there's something to be proud of about moving on and realizing that real love shines golden like starlight, and doesn't fade or spontaneously combust. Maybe I’ll write a whole album about that kind of love if I ever find it. But this album is about the other kinds of love that I’ve recently fallen in and out of. Love that was treacherous, sad, beautiful, and tragic. But most of all, this record is about love that was red.

They had all the windows down, Taylor Swift's newest album blasting at full volume, and they took turns singing along passionately and screaming new ghost theories over their least favorite songs.

Rose because Red is my favorite Taylor Swift album?
Christine Riccio (Again, but Better)
We spend the rest of the night baking, using the ingredients I have left over to make another batch of So Sorry Blondies--- this one modified with extra peanut butter, Paige's favorite. We turn on an old Taylor Swift album and eat the dough raw and catch up on each other's lives. We talk about how she and my dad came up with Big League Burger in the first place, and weird dessert hybrids we want to try in the city, and fall asleep watching Waitress with fingers still sticky from chocolate and toffee.

I’m no Taylor Swift, but if this ebook were an album, I’d title it Gypsy’s Version

The smallest man who ever lived.” I bite my lip and nod, trying not to laugh at her song reference. And she’s not wrong. “That whole Taylor Swift album was like a dedication to your shitty marriage to little dick.

I’d like to think of this endeavor as a rewrite of a misinformed story you’ve been told, like the Taylor’s Version rerecordings. I’m no Taylor Swift, but if this ebook were an album, I’d title it Gypsy’s Version—
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard (Released: Conversations on the Eve of Freedom)
She's been listening to Taylor Swift's new album on repeat and saying that she finally understands her pain
Robinne Lee (The Idea of You)
I’d like to think of this endeavor as a rewrite of a misinformed story you’ve been told, like the Taylor’s Version rerecordings. I’m no Taylor Swift, but if this ebook were an album, I’d title it Gypsy’s Version—the only version that should be told—raw, revealing, and in rhythm with the real me.
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard (Released: Conversations on the Eve of Freedom)
