Dan oleh kerana taqwa itu sudah pun mencakup segala urusan kebaikan, maka dihukumkan wasiat yang diwajibkan dalam khutbah Jum'at memadai dengan hanya menyebutkan taqwa kepada Allah Ta'ala saja.

Tantangan akan jadi ketentraman, bila kita hadapi dengan iman dan taqwa.

Kesimpulannya, bahwa taqwa itu merupakan penyingkiran diri dari perkara-perkara yang boleh menyebabkan kemurkaan Allah Ta'ala serta siksaanNya; iaitu ringkasnya dengan menurut segala yang diperintahNya dan menjauhi segala yang dilarangNya. Manakala hakikat taqwa pula, hendaklah berhati-hati agar Alla Ta'ala tiada mendapati anda di tempat laranganNya, dan tiada kehilangan anda di tempat suruhanNya.

Al-Bukhari collected this Hadith in a shorter form. Allah's statement, (and whosoever has Taqwa of Allah, He will make his matter easy for him.) means, Allah will make his matters lenient for him and will soon bring forth relief and a quick way out,

অকৃতজ্ঞতা মানুষের জন্য একটি কমন ব্যাপার, এটি তার অন্তর্গত একটি রোগ। যদি অন্তরের দেখাশোনা সে না করে তাহলে অন্তর সৃষ্টিকর্তা ও পালনকর্তার প্রতি অকৃতজ্ঞই থেকে যাবে। এ অনেকটা আপনার বাসার ধুলোর মতো। ফেলে রাখলে ধুলো জমতেই থাকবে। এমন নয় যে ধুলো জমাতে হলে আপনাকে কিছু করতে হবে। বরং ধুলো পরিষ্কার করার উদ্যোগটা আপনাকেই নিতে হবে। আপনাকেই প্রতিদিন ঘর পরিষ্কার করতে হবে। নতুবা ধুলো জমবে। আমাদের মনও যেন আমাদের ঘরগুলোর মতোই। ফেলে রাখুন, তাহলে সে রবের প্রতি অকৃতজ্ঞ থেকে যাবে। আমাদেরও তাই নিয়মিত মনের অবস্থা পরীক্ষা করে সেটাকে ঘষে-মেজে অকৃতজ্ঞতার ময়লা সরাতে হবে। এমন নয় যে মনকে ফেলে রাখলে সে নিজে থেকেই কৃতজ্ঞ রয়ে যাবে।

This idea (Taqwa)can be effectively conveyed by the term "conscience," if the object of conscience transcends it. This is why it is proper to say that "conscience" is truly as central to Islam as love is to Christianity when one speaks of the human response to the ultimate reality—which, therefore, is conceived in Islam as merciful justice rather than fatherhood. Taqwā, then, in the context of our argument, means to be squarely anchored within the moral tensions, the "limits of God," and not to "transgress" or violate the balance of those tensions or limits. Human conduct then becomes endowed with that quality which renders it "service to God [‘ibāda].

The problem with many Muslims today: they were too concerned with their immediate conditions, and not concerned enough with their taqwa. "For a long, long time, Muslims have been very concerned with the space. We think, 'If I had a better space, it would be better.' The Muslim reformers think, 'If we had the caliphate, it would be better. If we get a Muslim state, it will be better.' Are there Muslims states?" Nods from the crowd. "Are we better?" Silence.

Sebagaimana yang dikatakan tadi pintu-pintu yang terbuka untuk dimasuki oleh syaitan ke dalam hati adalah sangat banyak. Tetapi pintu untuk dimasuki oleh malaikat hanyalah sebuah sahaja. Sungguhpun demikian manusia masih terus terkeliru bila bedepan dengan pintu-pintu tersebut. Ianaya adalah sepeti seorang musafir yang sedang berada di tengah-tengah padang pasir yang mempunyai banyak jalan yang berliku-liku di tengah-tengah malam yang gelap gelita. Ia hanya dapat mengesan jalannya melalui mata hati dan terbitan matahari dengan sinarannya yang terang-benderang. Mata hati di sini ialah hati yang putih bersih bersalut taqwa, dan matahari yang terang-benderang ialah ilmu pengetahuan yang banyak diperolehi dari Al-Quran dan sunnah Rasulullah SAW yang mana memberinya petunjuk dan memimpinnya ke arah jalan lurus yang patut diikutinya.

THE PRACTICE OF PRESENCE invites us to a conscious relationship with God. Faith, righteous action, ethics, and social justice are all founded upon a state in which the human being remembers God. Yet, the capacity to remember God is related to the ability to be awake, to be here. To act with intention (niyah), with reflection (tafakkur), with self-vigilance (taqwa), and with beneficence (ihsan) presumes a state of conscious presence.

الخوف إذا ولدته الخشية وأثمر بعد ولادته التقوى كان خوفا يسقط الذنوب ويمحوها

134. (The people with Taqwa are) Those who spend (their wealth to please Allaah when they are) in ease and adversity (experiencing difficulty), (the people of Taqwa are also those) who swallow (suppress) their anger and who forgive people (forgive those who wrong them and act pleasantly with them). Allaah loves those who do good (and will therefore forgive them and reward them).

(and whosoever has Taqwa of Allah, He will expiate from him his sins, and will increase his reward.) means, Allah will prevent what he fears and multiply his reward even for the little good he does.

True worship was taqwa, consciousness of the Return.

The beauty of the tests Allah (set) is that after notifying us that they're coming, He gives us the exact recipe for succeeding in them: Sabr (patience) and Taqwa (God-consciousness)
