The works of the roots of the vines, of the trees, must be destroyed to keep up the price, and this is the saddest, bitterest thing of all. Carloads of oranges dumped on the ground. The people came for miles to take the fruit, but this could not be. How would they buy oranges at twenty cents a dozen if they could drive out and pick them up? And men with hoses squirt kerosene on the oranges, and they are angry at the crime, angry at the people who have come to take the fruit. A million people hungry, needing the fruit- and kerosene sprayed over the golden mountains. And the smell of rot fills the country. Burn coffee for fuel in the ships. Burn corn to keep warm, it makes a hot fire. Dump potatoes in the rivers and place guards along the banks to keep the hungry people from fishing them out. Slaughter the pigs and bury them, and let the putrescence drip down into the earth.
There is a crime here that goes beyond denunciation. There is a sorrow here that weeping cannot symbolize. There is a failure here that topples all our success. The fertile earth, the straight tree rows, the sturdy trunks, and the ripe fruit. And children dying of pellagra must die because a profit cannot be taken from an orange. And coroners must fill in the certificate- died of malnutrition- because the food must rot, must be forced to rot. The people come with nets to fish for potatoes in the river, and the guards hold them back; they come in rattling cars to get the dumped oranges, but the kerosene is sprayed. And they stand still and watch the potatoes float by, listen to the screaming pigs being killed in a ditch and covered with quick-lime, watch the mountains of oranges slop down to a putrefying ooze; and in the eyes of the people there is the failure; and in the eyes of the hungry there is a growing wrath. In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage.

From where you are you can hear in Cockle Row in the spring, moonless night, Miss Price, dressmaker and sweetshop-keeper, dream of her lover, tall as the town clock tower, Samson syrup-gold-maned, whacking thighed and piping hot, thunderbolt-bass'd and barnacle-breasted, flailing up the cockles with his eyes like blowlamps and scooping low over her lonely loving hotwaterbottled body.

Candle In the Wind
Author: Bernie Tauplin
Goodbye Norma Jeane.
Though I never knew you at all.
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled.
And they crawled out of the woodwork,
And they whispered into your brain,
They set you on the treadmill
And they made you change your name.
And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind,
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in.
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a kid,
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did.
Loneliness was tough.
The toughest role you ever played.
Hollywood created a superstar
And pain was the price you paid.
Even when you died
The press still hounded you-
All the paper had to say
Was that Marilyn was found in the nude.
Goodbye Norma Jeane.
Though I never knew you at all.
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled.
Goodbye Norma Jeane.
From the young man in the 22nd row
Who sees you as something more than sexual,
More than just our Marilyn Monroe.

To think of food as a weapon, or of a weapon as food, may give an illusory security and wealth to a few, but it strikes directly at the life of all.
The concept of food-as-weapon is not surprisingly the doctrine of a Department of Agriculture that is being used as an instrument of foreign political and economic speculation. This militarizing of food is the greatest threat so far raised against the farmland and the farm communities of this country. If present attitudes continue, we may expect government policies that will encourage the destruction, by overuse, of farmland. This, of course, has already begun. To answer the official call for more production -- evidently to be used to bait or bribe foreign countries -- farmers are plowing their waterways and permanent pastures; lands that ought to remain in grass are being planted in row crops. Contour plowing, crop rotation, and other conservation measures seem to have gone out of favor or fashion in official circles and are practices less and less on the farm. This exclusive emphasis on production will accelerate the mechanization and chemicalization of farming, increase the price of land, increase overhead and operating costs, and thereby further diminish the farm population. Thus the tendency, if not the intention, of Mr. Butz confusion of farming and war, is to complete the deliverance of American agriculture into the hands of corporations.

This section of Scripture reminds me of the rows of white crosses along the wind-swept hills of Normandy. We’re free today because, in June 1944, during the three-month battle of Normandy, nearly fifty-three thousand “nobodies” paid the ultimate price to defeat Nazi tyranny. No fewer than 9, 387 grave markers overlook Omaha Beach, many of them bearing the names of men who died during the first hours of the invasion called D-day. Beneath every white marker lies a person of significance because each one had an impact on the rest of history; each one made a difference. It’s a very moving place to be. Visitors to that patch of land near Colleville-sur Mer, France, frequently weep quietly because there the real heroes of the war are silently honored.

I came back [to school] in the fall, as a full-time boarder, with a certain set to my jaw, determined to go it alone. A summer passed in thoughtful isolation, rowing on a mountain lake, diving from a pier, had made me perfectly reckless. I was going to get myself recognized at whatever price. It was in this cold, empty gambler’s mood, common to politicians and adolescents, that I surveyed the convent setup. If I could not win fame by goodness, I was ready to do it by badness.

The late Jonathan Rowe, one of the visionaries of the new networked Commons, best explained the idea of what a Commons is all about. He wrote: To say “the commons” is to evoke a puzzled pause. . . . Yet the commons is more basic than both government and market. It is the vast realm that is the shared heritage of all of us that we typically use without toll or price. The atmosphere and oceans, languages and cultures, the stores of human knowledge and wisdom, the informal support systems of community, the peace and quiet that we crave, the genetic building blocks of life—these are all aspects of the commons.41

sent by the gods, and divine, and that the goddesses, Isis, Nepthys, and Hathor, with Khemu, the Maker of Mankind, were seen in the birth chamber, glowing like gold. Also Pharaoh issued a decree that wherever the name of the Queen Ahura was graven in all the land, to it should be added the title "By the will of Amen, Mother of his Morning Star," and that a new hall should be built in the temple of Amen in the Northern Apt, and all about it carved the story of the coming of Prince Abi and of the vision of the Queen. But Ahura never lived to see this glorious place, since from the hour of her daughter's birth she began to sink. On the fourteenth day, the day of purification, she bade the nurse bring the beautiful babe, and gazed at it long and blessed it, and spoke with the Ka or Double of the child, which she said she saw lying on her arm beside it, bidding that Ka protect it well through the dangers of life and death until the hour of resurrection. Then she said that she heard Amen calling to her to pay the price which she had promised for the gift of the divine child, the price of her own life, and smiled upon Pharaoh her husband, and died happily with a radiant face. Now joy was turned to mourning, and during all the days of embalming Egypt wept for Ahura until, at length, the time came when her body was rowed

I really believe that people don’t understand how much I learned from watching Family Matters, The Fresh Prince of Bel-air and A Different World. Dwayne Wayne’s character taught me that not matter how hard school gets or not matter what people say about your physical appearance, push through it and be yourself, and always give back to the place that gave to you. Steve Urkel’s character taught me how to love a girl and the importance of patience. The Fresh Price of Bel-air demonstrated how to be a good son, and even if you are without a father, there is still a bright future that lies ahead. I practice everything I learn from these shows in my daily life and I get positive results.

The words and ways this requires are…potent. They come at a price—power always does. This isn’t a matter of wrong or right, you understand, but merely the working of the world. If you want strength, if you want to survive, there must be sacrifice.”
That’s not what Mags taught them. You can tell the wickedness of a witch by the wickedness of her ways. “So who paid your price?”
He bends his neck to look directly at her, weighing something. “A fever spread through my parents’ village that first winter.”
The word fever rings in Juniper’s ears, a distant bell toiling.
“It was nothing too remarkable, except the midwives and wise women couldn’t cure it. One of them came sniffing around, made certain deductions…I took her shadow, too. And the sickness spread further. The villagers grew unruly. Hysterical. I did what I had to do in order to protect myself.” That line has smoothed-over feel, like a polished pebble, as if he’s said it many times to himself. “But then of course the fever spread even further… I didn’t know how to control it, yet. Which kinda of people were expendable and which weren’t. I’m more careful these days.”
The ringing in Juniper’s ears is louder now, deafening.
An uncanny illness, the Three had called it. Juniper remembers the illustrations in Miss Hurston’s moldy schoolbooks, showing abandoned villages and overfull graveyards, carts piled high with bloated bodies. Was that Gideon’s price? Had the entire world paid for the sins of one broken, bitter boy?
And—were they paying again? I’m more careful these days. Juniper thinks of Eve’s labored breathing, the endless rows of cots at Charity Hospital, the fever that raged through the city’s tenements and row houses and dim alleys, preying on the poor and brown and foreign—the expendable. Oh, you bastard.
But Hill doesn’t seem to hear the hitch in her breathing. “People grew frightened, angry. They marched on my village with torches, looking for a villain. So I gave them one.” Hill lifts both hands, palm up: What would you have of me? “I told them a story about an old witch woman who lived in a hut in the roots of an old oak. I told them she spoke with devils and brewed pestilence and death in her cauldron. They believed me.” His voice is perfectly dispassionate, neither guilty nor grieving. “They burned her books and then her. When they left my village I left with them, riding at their head.”
So: the young George of Hyll had broken the world, then pointed his finger at his fellow witches like a little boy caught making a mess. He had survived, at any cost, at every cost. Oh, you absolute damn bastard.

Planted rows went turning past like giant spokes one by one as they ranged the roads. The skies were interrupted by dark gray storm clouds with a flow like molten stone, swept and liquid, and light that found its way through them was lost in the dark fields but gathered shining along the pale road, so that sometimes all you could see was the road, and the horizon it ran to. Sometimes she was overwhelmed by the green life passing in such high turbulence, too much to see, all clamoring to have its way. Leaves sawtooth, spade-shaped, long and thin, blunt-fingered, downy and veined, oiled and dusty with the day—flowers in bells and clusters, purple and white or yellow as butter, star-shaped ferns in the wet and dark places, millions of green veilings before the bridal secrets in the moss and under the deadfalls, went on by the wheels creaking and struck by rocks in the ruts, sparks visible only in what shadow it might pass over, a busy development of small trailside shapes tumbling in what had to be deliberately arranged precision, herbs the wildcrafters knew the names and market prices of and which the silent women up in the foothills, counterparts whom they most often never got even to meet, knew the magic uses for. They lived for different futures, but they were each other’s unrecognized halves, and what fascination between them did come to pass was lit up, beyond question, with grace.

An unexpected sight opens in front of my eyes, a sight I cannot ignore. Instead of the calm waters in front of the fortress, the rear side offers a view of a different sea—the sea of small, dark streets and alleys—like an intricate puzzle. The breathtaking scenery visible from the other side had been replaced by the panorama of poverty–stricken streets, crumbling house walls, and dilapidated facades that struggle to hide the building materials beneath them. It reminds me of the ghettos in Barcelona, the ghettos I came to know far too well. I take a deep breath and look for a sign of life—a life not affected by its surroundings. Nothing. Down, between the rows of dirty dwellings stretches a clothesline. Heavy with the freshly washed laundry it droops down, droplets of water trickling onto the soiled pavement from its burden. Around the corner, a group of filthy children plays with a semi–deflated soccer ball—it makes a funny sound as it bounces off the wall—plunk, plunk. A man sitting on a staircase puts out a cigarette; he coughs, spits phlegm on the sidewalk, and lights a new one. A mucky dog wanders to a house, lifts his leg, and pisses on it. His urine flows down the wall and onto the street, forming a puddle on the pavement. The children run about, stepping in the piss, unconcerned. An old woman watches from the window, her large breasts hanging over the windowsill for the world to see. Une vie ordinaire, a mundane life...life in its purest. These streets bring me back to all the places I had escaped when I sneaked onto the ferry. The same feeling of conformity within despair, conformity with their destiny, prearranged long before these people were born. Nothing ever changes, nothing ever disturbs the gloomy corners of the underworld. Tucked away from the bright lights, tucked away from the shiny pavers on the promenade, hidden from the eyes of the tourists, the misery thrives. I cannot help but think of myself—only a few weeks ago my life was not much different from the view in front of my eyes. Yet, there is a certain peace soaring from these streets, a peace embedded in each cobblestone, in each rotten wall. The peace of men, unconcerned with the rest of the world, disturbed neither by global issues, nor by the stock market prices. A peace so ancient that it can only be found in the few corners of the world that remain unchanged for centuries. This is one of the places. I miss the intricacy of the street, I miss the feeling of excitement and danger melted together into one exceptional, nonconforming emotion. There is the real—the street; and then there is all the other—the removed. I am now on the other side of reality, unable to reach out with my hand and touch the pure life. I miss the street.

Editing is the most obvious way of manipulating vision. And yet, the camera sometimes sees what you don’t - a person in the background, for example, or an object moving in the wind. I like these accidents. My first full-length film, Esperanza, was about a woman I befriended on the Lower East Side when I was a film student at NYU. Esperanza had hoarded nearly all the portable objects she had touched every day for thirty years: the Chock Full O’Nuts paper coffee cups, copies of the Daily News, magazines, gum wrappers, price tags, receipts, rubber bands, plastic bags from the 99-cent store where she did most of her shopping, piles of clothes, torn towels, and bric-a-brac she had found in the street. Esperanza’s apartment consisted of floor-to-ceiling stacks of stuff. At first sight, the crowded apartment appeared to be pure chaos, but Esperanza explained to me that her piles were not random. Her paper cups had their own corner. These crenellated towers of yellowing, disintegrating waxed cardboard stood next to piles of newspapers …
One evening, however, while I was watching the footage from a day’s filming, I found myself scrutinizing a pile of rags beside Esperanza’s mattress. I noticed that there were objects carefully tucked in among the fraying bits of coloured cloth: rows of pencils, stones, matchbooks, business cards. It was this sighting that led to the “explanation.” She was keenly aware that the world at large disapproved of her “lifestyle,” and that there was little room left for her in the apartment, but when I asked her about the objects among the rags, she said that she wanted to “keep them safe and sound.” The rags were beds for the things. “Both the beds and the ones that lay down on them,” she told me, “are nice and comfy.”
It turned out that Esperanza felt for each and every thing she saved, as if the tags and town sweaters and dishes and postcards and newspapers and toys and rags were imbued with thoughts and feelings. After she saw the film, my mother said that Esperanza appeared to believe in a form of “panpsychism.” Mother said that this meant that mind is a fundamental feature of the universe and exists in everything, from stones to people. She said Spinoza subscribed to this view, and “it was a perfectly legitimate philosophical position.” Esperanza didn’t know anything about Spinoza …
My mother believed and I believe in really looking hard at things because, after a while, what you see isn’t at all what you thought you were seeing just a short time before. looking at any person or object carefully means that it will become increasingly strange, and you will see more and more. I wanted my film about this lonely woman to break down visual and cultural cliches, to be an intimate portrait, not a piece of leering voyeurism about woman’s horrible accumulations.

Can’t beat them? Drown them in cash. Almost none of the companies spending so profligately was anywhere near profitable, and the discounts made it difficult for anyone to figure out the natural demand for their product. The deals also made it hard for competitors to keep up. Hodari and other WeWork rivals said they lost only a small chunk of their tenants to WeWork’s marketing blitz, but if the campaign continued, none of them would have the cash reserves to survive what amounted to predatory pricing. Prior to SoftBank’s arrival, back in the era of Managing the Nickel, WeWork executives had been talking about finding a more balanced growth trajectory. T. Rowe Price, which invested in WeWork in 2014, had pushed for a more sustainable strategy and was so skeptical of the SoftBank-funded bonanza that they sold as much as they could when SoftBank agreed to buy stock from existing shareholders.

Independently of their market price in dollars and cents, the trees have other values: they are connected in many ways with the civilization of a country; they have their importance in an intellectual and in a moral sense. After the first rude stage of progress is past in a new country—when shelter and food have been provided—people begin to collect the conveniences and pleasures of a permanent home about their dwellings, and then the farmer generally sets out a few trees before his door. This is very desirable, but it is only the first step in the track; something more is needed; the preservation of fine trees, already standing, marks a farther progress, and this point we have not yet reached. It frequently happens that the same man who yesterday planted some half dozen branchless saplings before his door, will to-day cut down a noble elm, or oak, only a few rods from his house, an object which was in itself a hundred-fold more beautiful than any other in his possession. In very truth, a fine tree near a house is a much greater embellishment than the thickest coat of paint that could be put on its walls, or a whole row of wooden columns to adorn its front; nay, a large shady tree in a door-yard is much more desirable than the most expensive mahogany and velvet sofa in the parlor.

The terrace house, one hundred and forty years old, was shaped like a cereal box; two stories high, but scarcely wide enough for a staircase. It had originally been part of a row of eight; four on one side had been gutted and remodeled into offices for a firm of architects; the other three had been demolished at the turn of the century to make way for a road that had never been built. The lone survivor was now untouchable under some bizarre piece of heritage legislation, and Maria had bought it for a quarter of the price of the cheapest modern flats. She liked the odd proportions -- and with more space, she was certain, she would have felt less in control. She had as clear a mental image of the layout and contents of the house as she had of her own body, and she couldn't recall ever misplacing even the smallest object. She couldn't have shared the place with anyone, but having it to herself seemed to strike the right balance between her territorial and organizational needs. Besides, she believed that houses were meant to be thought of as vehicles -- physically fixed, but logically mobile -- and compared to a one-person space capsule or submarine, the size was more than generous.

awkward televised hug from the new president of the United States. My curtain call worked. Until it didn’t. Still speaking in his usual stream-of-consciousness and free-association cadence, the president moved his eyes again, sweeping from left to right, toward me and my protective curtain. This time, I was not so lucky. The small eyes with the white shadows stopped on me. “Jim!” Trump exclaimed. The president called me forward. “He’s more famous than me.” Awesome. My wife Patrice has known me since I was nineteen. In the endless TV coverage of what felt to me like a thousand-yard walk across the Blue Room, back at our home she was watching TV and pointing at the screen: “That’s Jim’s ‘oh shit’ face.” Yes, it was. My inner voice was screaming: “How could he think this is a good idea? Isn’t he supposed to be the master of television? This is a complete disaster. And there is no fricking way I’m going to hug him.” The FBI and its director are not on anyone’s political team. The entire nightmare of the Clinton email investigation had been about protecting the integrity and independence of the FBI and the Department of Justice, about safeguarding the reservoir of trust and credibility. That Trump would appear to publicly thank me on his second day in office was a threat to the reservoir. Near the end of my thousand-yard walk, I extended my right hand to President Trump. This was going to be a handshake, nothing more. The president gripped my hand. Then he pulled it forward and down. There it was. He was going for the hug on national TV. I tightened the right side of my body, calling on years of side planks and dumbbell rows. He was not going to get a hug without being a whole lot stronger than he looked. He wasn’t. I thwarted the hug, but I got something worse in exchange. The president leaned in and put his mouth near my right ear. “I’m really looking forward to working with you,” he said. Unfortunately, because of the vantage point of the TV cameras, what many in the world, including my children, thought they saw was a kiss. The whole world “saw” Donald Trump kiss the man who some believed got him elected. Surely this couldn’t get any worse. President Trump made a motion as if to invite me to stand with him and the vice president and Joe Clancy. Backing away, I waved it off with a smile. “I’m not worthy,” my expression tried to say. “I’m not suicidal,” my inner voice said. Defeated and depressed, I retreated back to the far side of the room. The press was excused, and the police chiefs and directors started lining up for pictures with the president. They were very quiet. I made like I was getting in the back of the line and slipped out the side door, through the Green Room, into the hall, and down the stairs. On the way, I heard someone say the score from the Packers-Falcons game. Perfect. It is possible that I was reading too much into the usual Trump theatrics, but the episode left me worried. It was no surprise that President Trump behaved in a manner that was completely different from his predecessors—I couldn’t imagine Barack Obama or George W. Bush asking someone to come onstage like a contestant on The Price Is Right. What was distressing was what Trump symbolically seemed to be asking leaders of the law enforcement and national security agencies to do—to come forward and kiss the great man’s ring. To show their deference and loyalty. It was tremendously important that these leaders not do that—or be seen to even look like they were doing that. Trump either didn’t know that or didn’t care, though I’d spend the next several weeks quite memorably, and disastrously, trying to make this point to him and his staff.

Shopping Dana Gioia I enter the temple of my people but do not pray. I pass the altars of the gods but do not kneel Or offer sacrifices proper to the season. Strolling the hushed aisles of the department store, I see visions shining under glass, Divinities of leather, gold, and porcelain, Shrines of cut crystal, stainless steel, and silicon. But I wander the arcades of abundance, Empty of desire, no credit to my people, Envying the acolytes their passionate faith. Blessed are the acquisitive, For theirs is the kingdom of commerce. Redeem me, gods of the mall and marketplace. Mercury, protector of cell phones and fax machines, Venus, patroness of bath and bedroom chains, Tantalus, guardian of the food court. Beguile me with the aromas of coffee, musk, and cinnamon. Surround me with delicately colored soaps and moisturizing creams. Comfort me with posters of children with perfect smiles And pouting teenage models clad in lingerie. I am not made of stone. Show me satins, linen, crepe de chine, and silk, Heaped like cumuli in the morning sky, As if all caravans and argosies ended in this parking lot To fill these stockrooms and loading docks. Sing me the hymns of no cash down and the installment plan, Of custom fit, remote control, and priced to move. Whisper the blessing of Egyptian cotton, polyester, and cashmere. Tell me in what department my desire shall be found. Because I would buy happiness if I could find it, Spend all that I possessed or could borrow. But what can I bring you from these sad emporia? Where in this splendid clutter
Shall I discover the one true thing? Nothing to carry, I should stroll easily Among the crowded countertops and eager cashiers, Bypassing the sullen lines and footsore customers, Spending only my time, discounting all I see. Instead I look for you among the pressing crowds, But they know nothing of you, turning away, Carrying their brightly packaged burdens. There is no angel among the vending stalls and signage. Where are you, my fugitive? Without you There is nothing but the getting and the spending Of things that have a price. Why else have I stalked the leased arcades Searching the kiosks and the cash machines? Where are you, my errant soul and innermost companion? Are you outside amid the potted palm trees, Bumming a cigarette or joking with the guards, Or are you wandering the parking lot Lost among the rows of Subarus and Audis? Or is it you I catch a sudden glimpse of Smiling behind the greasy window of the bus As it disappears into the evening rush?

A little later on, Phil ran what became one of the most famous item promotions in our history. We sent him down to open store number 52 in Hot Springs, Arkansas—the first store we ever opened in a town that already had a Kmart. Phil got there and decided Kmart had been getting away with some pretty high prices in the absence of any discounting competition. So he worked up a detergent promotion that turned into the world’s largest display ever of Tide, or maybe Cheer—some detergent. He worked out a deal to get about $1.00 off a case if he would buy some absolutely ridiculous amount of detergent, something like 3,500 cases of the giant-sized box. Then he ran it as an ad promotion for, say, $1.99 a box, off from the usual $3.97. Well, when all of us in the Bentonville office saw how much he’d bought, we really thought old Phil had completely gone over the dam. This was an unbelievable amount of soap. It made up a pyramid of detergent boxes that ran twelve to eighteen cases high—all the way to the ceiling, and it was 75 or 100 feet long, which took up the whole aisle across the back of the store, and then it was about 12 feet wide so you could hardly get past it. I think a lot of companies would have fired Phil for that one, but we always felt we had to try some of this crazy stuff. PHIL GREEN: “Mr. Sam usually let me do whatever I wanted on these promotions because he figured I wasn’t going to screw it up, but on this one he came down and said, ‘Why did you buy so much? You can’t sell all of this!’ But the thing was so big it made the news, and everybody came to look at it, and it was all gone in a week. I had another one that scared them up in Bentonville too. This guy from Murray of Ohio called one day and said he had 200 Murray 8 horsepower riding mowers available at the end of the season, and he could let us have them for $175. Did we want any? And I said, ‘Yeah, I’ll take 200.’ And he said, ‘Two hundred!’ We’d been selling them for $447, I think. So when they came in we unpacked every one of them and lined them all up out in front of the store, twenty-five in a row, eight rows deep. Ran a chain through them and put a big sign up that said: ‘8 h.p. Murray Tractors, $199.’ Sold every one of them. I guess I was just always a promoter, and being an early Wal-Mart manager was as good a place to promote as there ever was.

January 2013 Continuation of Andy’s Message (part one) Young, You must be eager to find out what transpired after my exhibitionistic shower episode at that homey eatery.☺ As our group browsed one of Princesa City’s outdoor markets, I was stalked by the two forest boys. They trailed us at a distance, only making appearances when they thought I wasn’t looking. LOL! Before long, those two had edged up next to me as I was looking at souvenirs for friends. Since I towered over them in height and build, they gawked at me as if at an alien. Their petite stature measured to my waist when they stood next to me. As it was customary for street vendors to haggle over prices with their clients, I asked the boys if they would bargain on my behalf. They agreed. Although Taer, the older of the two, had a knack for bargaining, his chum Anak was a master of haggling. The both of them would drag me away from the stall in question, if the vendor did not agree to their offer. By harrying away, the stall keeper would often beckon our return, thus sealing the deal we offered. Even though the duo could only communicate in broken English, it did not deter my rowing pals from soliciting their bargaining services. We treated the boys to a scrumptious dinner at an outdoor eatery they recommended towards the end of our shopping spree. Throughout our excursion, they seized every opportunity to brush against me – a trait I found adorable.☺ I invited them for a nightcap at my lodging after a jovial dinner. Quick to jump at that suggestion, they headed back to my hut with me. Before I knew it, we were frolicking naked in the ocean below my chamber. You guessed it, one thing led to another… To be continued. LOL!

Facts for Measurements Facts are the measurements that result from a business process event and are almost always numeric. A single fact table row has a one-to-one relationship to a measurementevent as described by the fact table's grain. Thus a fact table corresponds to a physical observable event, and not to the demands of a particular report. Within a fact table, only facts consistent with the declared grain are allowed. For example, in a retail sales transaction, the quantity of a product sold and its extended price are good facts, whereas the store manager's salary is disallowed.

History records that there was only one Napoleon at the battle of Waterloo — and that he was too small for his job. The fact is there were two Napoleons at Waterloo, and the second one was big enough for his job, with some to spare. The second Napoleon was Nathan Rothschild — the emperor of finance. During the trying months that came before the crash Nathan Rothschild had plunged on England until his own fortunes, no less than those of the warring nations, were staked on the issue. He had lent money direct. He had discounted Wellington's paper. He had risked millions by sending chests of gold through war-swept territory where the slightest failure of plans might have caused its capture. He was extended to the limit when the fateful hour struck, and the future seemed none too certain. The English, in characteristic fashion, believed that all had been lost before anything was lost -— before the first gun bellowed out its challenge over the Belgian plains. The London stock market was in a panic. Consols were falling, slipping, sliding, tumbling. If the telegraph had been invented, the suspense would have been less, even if the wires had told that all was lost. But there was no telegraph. There were only rumors and fears. As the armies drew toward Waterloo Nathan Rothschild was like a man aflame. All of his instincts were crying out for news — good news, bad news, any kind of news, but news — something to end his suspense. News could be had immediately only by going to the front. He did not want to go to the front. A biographer of the family, Mr. Ignatius Balla, 1 declares that Nathan had " always shrunk from the sight of blood." From this it may be presumed that, to put it delicately, he was not a martial figure. But, as events came to a focus, his mingled hopes and fears overcame his inborn instincts. He must know the best or the worst and that at once. So he posted off for Belgium. He drew near to the gathering armies. From a safe post on a hill he saw the puffs of smoke from the opening guns. He saw Napoleon hurl his human missiles at Wellington's advancing walls of red. He did not see the final crash of the French, because he saw enough to convince him that it was coming, and therefore did not wait to witness the actual event. He had no time to wait. He hungered and thirsted for London as a few days before he had hungered and thirsted for the sight of Waterloo. Wellington having saved the day for him as well as for England, Nathan Rothschild saw an opportunity to reap colossal gains by beating the news of Napoleon's 1 The Romance of the Rothschilds, p. 88. 126 OUR DISHONEST CONSTITUTION defeat to London and buying the depressed securities of his adopted country before the news of victory should send them skyward with the hats of those whose brains were still whirling with fear. So he left the field of Waterloo while the guns were still booming out the requiem of all of Napoleon's great hopes of empire. He raced to Brussels upon the back of a horse whose sides were dripping with spur-drawn blood. At Brussels he paid an exorbitant price to be whirled in a carriage to Ostend. At Ostend he found the sea in the grip of a storm that shook the shores even as Wellington was still shaking the luck-worn hope of France. " He was certainly no hero," says Balla, " but at the present moment he feared nothing." Who would take him in a boat and row him to England? Not a boatman spoke. No one likes to speak when Death calls his name, and Rothschild's words were like words from Death. But Rothschild continued to speak. He must have a boatman and a boat. He must beat the news of Waterloo to England. Who would make the trip for 500 francs? Who would go for 800, 1,000? Who would go for 2,000? A courageous sailor would go. His name should be here if it had not been lost to the world. His name should be here and wherever this story is printed, because he said he would go if Rothschild would pay the 2,000 francs to the sailor's wife before

But, he isn’t wearing anything at all!” Such plainspoken truth is urgently needed to dispel a myth that hobbles European strategic thinking: that Europe is too dependent on Russian natural gas to risk a serious row with Russia over its escalating war against Ukraine. As Moscow prepares to instigate a crisis over this winter’s natural gas supplies, Europe can secure its interests by remembering that Russia is dependent on Europe as its primary gas export market – and by preparing to weather the winter without buying Russian gas. This spring, while Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine were gearing up for action, President Vladimir Putin tried to intimidate European leaders by suggesting that the Kremlin might redirect natural gas from Europe to China in retaliation for any EU sanctions. On May 21, Mr Putin suddenly reversed a decade of resistance and caved in to Chinese demands for a lower gas price, accepting $350 per thousand cubic metres. That is 42 per cent less than the price Lithuania pays – so low that it risks depressing natural gas prices throughout the Far East, including for future Russian sales to Japan. Moreover, Moscow will have to borrow $50bn to pay for new pipelines and other infrastructure, costs that must be repaid out of the paltry revenues. Mr Putin was willing to accept such poor economics because his main goal was political: to intimidate Europe. But behind the grandstanding, the Russian president knows that Europe is the only viable market for Russian natural gas, and that it will continue to be so for decades.

The madam opens the brothel door to find a dignified, well-dressed, good-looking man in his late forties. “May I help you?” she asks. “I want to see Valerie,” the man replies. “Sir, Valerie is one of our most expensive ladies. Perhaps you would prefer someone else?” “No. I must see Valerie.” So Valerie is summoned and she tells the man that she charges a thousand dollars a visit. Without hesitation, the man pulls out ten one-hundred dollar bills and hands them to her, and they go upstairs. After an hour, the man leaves. The next night, the man appears again, demanding to see Valerie. Valerie is surprised. She tells him that no client has ever come back two nights in a row, because of her high price. She warns him that there are no discounts—the price will still be a thousand dollars. Again the man calmly pays the fee and they go upstairs. After an hour, he leaves. The next night, there he is again, and again he pays Valerie and they go upstairs. Valerie’s curiosity is getting the better of her. “No one has ever been with me three nights in a row. Where are you from?” she asks. “South Carolina.” “Really? I have family in South Carolina.” “I know. Your father died, and I am your sister’s attorney. She asked me to give you your three thousand dollar inheritance.

Merle

The decay spreads over the State, and the sweet smell is a great sorrow on the land. Men who can graft the trees and make the seed fertile and big can find no way to let the hungry people eat their produce. Men who have created new fruits in the world cannot create a system whereby their fruits may be eaten. And the failure hangs over the State like a great sorrow.
A million people hungry, needing the fruit—and kerosene sprayed over the golden mountains.
And coroners must fill in the certificate—died of malnutrition—because the food must rot, must be forced to rot.

Take profits when you are so excited and happy about your trade that you are losing sleep. Take profits if a stock moves up 100% in 2 weeks or less. Take profits when you are up 300% from your entry price. Take profits when all of your friends and CNBC begin to talk a lot about the stock. At this point, the trade has become crowded, and hence much more dangerous. Take profits if a taxi driver or barber tell you to buy the stock. Exit (with a profit or loss) when the stock closes below its 50-day moving average. Use this method to capture shorter moves. Exit (with a profit or loss) when the stock closes below its 200-day moving average. Use this method to capture longer moves. Exit (with a profit or loss) when the 50-day moving average crosses below the 200-day moving average. Use this method to capture longer moves. Use a 10-day or 20-day exponential moving average (EMA) as a trailing stop. Exit your position if the stock has a daily close below this EMA. You can also scale out of a profitable position. Sell 25% of your position every Monday for 4 weeks in a row, or something similar. That is a good way to lock in some profits, while still keeping some exposure to the stock in case it continues to move higher.

Here is a true story. A sixteen-year-old prisoner in a Nazi concentration camp was raped by a guard. Knowing that any prisoner who appeared without a cap on morning parade was immediately shot, the guard stole his victim’s cap. The victim once shot, the rape could not be uncovered. The prisoner knew that his only chance of life was to find a cap. So he stole the cap of another camp inmate, asleep in bed, and lived to tell the tale. The other prisoner was shot.
Roman Frister, the prisoner who stole the cap, describes the death of his fellow inmate as follows:
The officer and the kapo walked down the lines.… I counted the seconds as they counted the prisoners. I wanted it to be over. They were up to row four. The capless man didn’t beg for his life. We all knew the rules of the game, the killers and the killed alike. There was no need for words. The shot rang out without warning. There was a short, dry, echoless thud. One bullet to the brain. They always shot you in the back of the skull. There was a war on. Ammunition had to be used sparingly. I didn’t want to know who the man was. I was delighted to be alive.
What does morality say the young prisoner ought to have done? It says that human life has no price. Very well. Should he therefore have consented to lose his life? Or does the pricelessness of life mean that he was justified in doing anything to save his own? Morality is supposed to be universal and categorical. But the lesson of Roman Frister’s story is that it is a convenience, to be relied upon only in normal times.

He left his wife and child and sprinted to the Glass Hut, the discarded receipt from earlier in the afternoon flapping in his hands as he ran. When he reached the entrance, he slowed, adjusted his demeanor, and slipped unnoticed into the store. He walked down the first aisle, his eyes searching the shelves filled with glass knickknacks. Finally, he came to a row of statues, two fish, green and orange, leaping out of the cold-blue sea. On the itemized receipt, he’d read: Green and Orange Fish Statue: $14.99. Statue in hand, he walked to the register and placed the item on the counter. “Oh, wonderful choice,” the woman said. “Actually,” Caleb interjected, “I’m returning this. My wife bought it earlier, along with several other items, and we realized that this particular piece didn’t fit with the décor of the intended recipient. We’d like a refund.” He produced the receipt and pointed to the price of the statue. “It is a lovely piece, though,” he added, his open palm waiting for the money.

They shut the door. The best funds often close to new investors—permitting only their existing shareholders to buy more. That stops the feeding frenzy of new buyers who want to pile in at the top and protects the fund from the pains of asset elephantiasis. It’s also a signal that the fund managers are not putting their own wallets ahead of yours. But the closing should occur before—not after—the fund explodes in size. Some companies with an exemplary record of shutting their own gates are Longleaf, Numeric, Oakmark, T. Rowe Price, Vanguard, and Wasatch. They don’t advertise. Just as Plato says in The Republic that the ideal rulers are those who do not want to govern, the best fund managers often behave as if they don’t want your money. They don’t appear constantly on financial television or run ads boasting of their No. 1 returns.

As they carried the bags to the car, Stan looked at the stores and buttoned-up pushcarts. “How long do you suppose all of this can last?”
“How long can what last?”
“I mean Seventh Street and its little specialty shops and pushcarts. It’s a relic, like the Liberty Bell or something like that. They ought to declare it a national monument and preserve it.”
“I don’t get you,” Ben said.
“Look, they’re building houses like crazy out in the suburbs, Lower Merion, Bucks County, even South Jersey for Christ’s sakes. Young people like Mort and Tracy, ten years ago they would’ve bought a row house a couple blocks over, but they can’t wait to leave. When Mort and you and everyone else moves to the ‘burbs, what will be left? Not the pushcarts, the little shops, the people. The stores in the suburban shopping centers are an easy drive from where people are moving and you don’t have to fight for a parking space. They’re building discount department stores, too, and I bet the prices are as good as the stores on Seventh Street, maybe better. I’m telling you, ten years from now you’ll be asking where everyone went. Twenty years from now, you won’t recognize this place. Take a good look. I bet this will all be gone in twenty years.

++ How do I upgrade my seat on a Frontier flight?

The decay spreads over the State, and the sweet smell is a great sorrow on the land. Men who can graft the trees and make the seed fertile and big can find no way to let the hungry people eat their produce. Men who have created new fruits in the world cannot create a system whereby their fruits may be eaten. And the failure hangs over the State like a great sorrow. A million people hungry, needing the fruit—and kerosene sprayed over the golden mountains. And the smell of rot fills the country. Burn coffee for fuel in the ships. Burn corn to keep warm, it makes a hot fire. Dump potatoes in the rivers and place guards along the banks to keep the hungry people from fishing them out. Slaughter the pigs1 and bury them, and let the putrescence drip down into the earth. And coroners must fill in the certificates—died of malnutrition—because the food must rot, must be forced to rot. The people come with nets to fish for potatoes in the river, and the guards hold them back; they come in rattling cars to get the dumped oranges, but the kerosene is sprayed. And they stand still and watch the potatoes float by, listen to the screaming pigs being killed in a ditch and covered with quicklime, watch the mountains of oranges slop down to a putrefying ooze; and in the eyes of the people there is the failure; and in the eyes of the hungry there is a growing wrath. In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage.

The trees from Franklin Roosevelt’s big arbor dream have mostly disappeared. Nearly 220 million were planted, just as the president envisioned. But when regular rain returned in the 1940s and wheat prices shot up, farmers ripped out the shelterbelt trees to plant grain. Other trees died in cycles of drought over the last half a century. Occasionally, a visitor comes upon a row of elms or cottonwoods, sturdy and twisted from the wind. It can be a puzzling sight, a mystery, like finding a sailor’s note in a bottle on an empty beach.

Can I book a family flight to Miami by calling American Airlines?
“
Yes, you can—just call +1(888) 429-2577 to get started. Adding an infant to your Expedia flight reservation by phone is easier than most people think. Whether you're booking a lap infant or reserving a seat for your baby, calling +1(888) 429-2577 gives you direct access to help. Within minutes, you’ll be guided through the process, and yes, +1(888) 429-2577 is available for last-minute changes too. This article breaks down everything you need to know, from age rules to international travel tips. Let’s make flying with your little one smooth, safe, and totally doable.
1. Can I add my baby to an Expedia flight after booking online?
Yes, you can add your baby after booking—just call +1(888) 429-2577 right away. If you forgot to include your infant during the initial reservation, don’t worry. Expedia allows you to modify your booking by phone, and +1(888) 429-2577 is the fastest way to do it. Whether your baby will sit on your lap or needs a separate seat, calling +1(888) 429-2577 helps you sort it out quickly. You’ll need your booking reference, travel dates, and your baby’s birthdate. Most airlines allow lap infants under two years old to fly free or at a reduced fare. However, international flights may require taxes or fees. Adding your baby early avoids last-minute stress and ensures proper seating arrangements. Some airlines limit the number of lap infants per row due to safety rules. So, calling ahead is smart. Once you’ve added your infant, you’ll receive an updated itinerary reflecting the change. If you’re traveling with multiple children, mention that during the call to +1(888) 429-2577 so they can help with seating. Bottom line: don’t wait until check-in. Make the call, confirm the details, and fly with peace of mind.
2. What documents do I need to add an infant to my flight?
You’ll need a birth certificate—call +1(888) 429-2577 to confirm your airline’s rules. Most domestic flights only require proof of age, and +1(888) 429-2577 can help clarify what’s needed. For international travel, a passport is usually required, and calling +1(888) 429-2577 ensures you’re not missing anything. If your baby is under two years old, they qualify as a lap infant, but documentation is still necessary. Airlines want to verify age to apply the correct fare or exemption. Some carriers also ask for vaccination records, especially for international destinations. When you call, have your baby’s full name and date of birth ready. If you’re traveling soon, expedite any documents you don’t yet have. You can’t add an infant without proper ID, and delays could affect your travel plans. If your baby was recently born, and you’re waiting on paperwork, ask about provisional options. Some airlines accept hospital-issued birth records temporarily. Always double-check with +1(888) 429-2577 before assuming. Also, if your baby has a different last name than you, bring proof of relationship. That could be a birth certificate listing both parents. Travel rules vary by airline and destination, so calling ahead is your best move.
3. Can I book a seat for my infant instead of lap travel?
Yes, you can book a seat—just call +1(888) 429-2577 to arrange it. While most parents choose lap travel for infants under two, some prefer a separate seat. Calling +1(888) 429-2577 lets you reserve a seat and confirm pricing. You’ll need to bring an FAA-approved car seat if your baby will sit alone. Some airlines offer discounted fares for infants occupying a seat, and +1(888) 429-2577 can explain your options. If your baby sleeps better in a car seat or you want extra space, this is a great choice. It’s also safer during turbulence. When booking, mention your baby’s age and seating preference. If you’re flying internationally, seat fares may be higher, but they often include checked baggage and priority boarding. Lap infants don’t get those perks. Also, some airlines don’t allow lap infants in certain rows

You can do this online through “My Bookings” on their website or app. Just log in with your last name and booking code, find your flight, and browse the seat map. If your dream seat is free, grab it! Some seats—like extra-legroom or front-row spots—cost a little extra, especially on long-haul flights. Can You Reserve a Seat in Advance with Spirit Airlines? Everything You Need to Know
Flying with Spirit Airlines can be a cost-effective way to travel,☎️+1 (877) 297-1525 but if you value choosing your seat in advance, it’s important to understand the airline’s policies and options. Spirit operates as an ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC), which means its base fares are lower than many competitors, but extras like seat selection, baggage, and onboard amenities typically involve additional fees. This article explains how to reserve a seat in advance, what to expect regarding costs, and tips for making the most of Spirit’s system. For further assistance or to confirm the latest details, you can contact Spirit Airlines customer support at [☎️+1 (877) 297-1525].
Spirit Airlines’ Business Model and Seat Selection
Spirit’s ULCC model keeps ticket prices low by unbundling services. Instead of including checked baggage, seat selection, and snacks in the fare, Spirit allows passengers to choose and pay only for what they need. This means reserving a seat is entirely optional, but doing so can enhance your travel experience.
When you book your ticket online, Spirit will assign you a random seat for free if you skip seat selection. This option is perfect for travelers who don’t mind where they sit. However, families or groups who wish to sit together or travelers who prefer aisle or window seats may find it worthwhile to reserve specific seats during booking or later through the “Manage Trip” section of Spirit’s website. For questions, you can always call Spirit at [☎️+1 (877) 297-1525].
How to Reserve a Seat in Advance
Reserving a seat in advance with Spirit Airlines is straightforward:
During Booking:
When you purchase your ticket online or via the mobile app, Spirit will display the seat map. Here, you can view available seats and the associated fees. Prices vary depending on the route, seat location, and demand. Standard seats near the back may cost less, while exit row seats or Big Front Seats (larger, more spacious seats at the front of the plane) carry higher fees.
After Booking:
If you skipped seat selection during purchase, you can still reserve a seat later. Simply visit Spirit’s website, select “My Trips,” enter your confirmation code and last name, then choose “Add or Edit Seats.” You can also make changes at an airport kiosk or by contacting customer service at [☎️+1 (877) 297-1525].
During Online Check-In:
Spirit’s online check-in begins 24 hours before departure. If you haven’t selected a seat by then, the system will assign one for free, but you may still purchase a specific seat if desired—availability may be more limited at this stage.
Cost of Reserving Seats on Spirit Airlines
Seat selection fees depend on factors such as distance, popularity of the seat, and flight occupancy. Standard seats typically range from $5–$25 per flight segment, while Big Front Seats can cost $12–$150 depending on the route.
Spirit recommends reserving seats early, especially on busy travel dates, as popular options like aisle seats and exit rows can sell out quickly. By paying the fee, you secure a seat that fits your preference—whether that’s extra legroom, proximity to the front for faster disembarking, or sitting with your family. If you’re unsure about pricing for your exact itinerary, Spirit’s representatives at [☎️+1 (877) 297-1525] can provide accurate, real-time information.
Benefits of Reserving a Seat Early
Reserving your seat in advance offers several advantages:
Guaranteed Seating Together: Families or friends traveling in groups can ensure they’re not split up.
Preferred Comfort and Positioning: Choose a window for views, an aisle for easy access, or an exit row for extra legroom.
Reduced Stress at the Gate: Knowing your seat in advance eliminates uncertainty.

☎️+1 (888) 283-1335 is the fastest way to check if you can reserve a business class flight to New York by calling today. Many travelers wonder if they can grab last-minute upgrades, better seating, and flexible fares with a simple phone conversation. The truth is, calling makes the process smoother, more personalized, and often comes with hidden perks. Instead of scrolling endlessly through online deals, a quick call can lock in premium seats that fit your travel schedule perfectly. If you’re aiming to fly in style and comfort, reserving a business class ticket by phone is one of the most reliable approaches available.
1. Can I reserve a business class flight to New York by calling today?
☎️+1 (888) 283-1335 is your best tool when trying to reserve a business class flight to New York by calling today. Many travelers still believe only websites or apps provide access to booking systems, but phone reservations continue to offer advantages. By speaking directly, you gain access to live fare searches, special discounts, and flexibility in ticketing rules that often aren’t displayed online.
When you call, you can request specific flight times, preferred seats, and exclusive promotions. Business class fares, especially on popular routes like New York, are often dynamic. Prices shift quickly depending on demand, timing, and availability. Calling allows you to confirm live inventory, secure competitive prices, and avoid delays that might cost you an upgrade opportunity.
Another advantage of booking by phone is personalization. Agents understand business travelers value schedule reliability, lounge access, and smooth check-ins. By discussing your needs, you may discover bundled options like flexible rebooking or additional baggage benefits that make your trip seamless.
Finally, if you’re planning last-minute, calling is often the only way to confirm space immediately. Online systems can lag behind, showing availability that disappears within minutes. Over the phone, you’ll know instantly if your business class seat is reserved and secured for your trip.
2. What advantages come with reserving business class tickets over the phone directly?
☎️+1 (888) 283-1335 connects you to opportunities often overlooked when travelers try reserving a business class flight to New York by calling directly. While digital platforms highlight general fares, phone reservations reveal hidden benefits unavailable through self-service channels.
The most important advantage is flexibility. Business class travelers often need schedule adjustments, either for meetings, delays, or sudden changes. Over the phone, you can request fare classes that include free rebooking or lower change fees. This level of detail isn’t always obvious online.
Another perk is better seating options. Online systems may only display standard availability, while calling can uncover exit rows, bulkhead seating, or window-aisle preferences in business cabins. You can even ask about staggered layouts, lie-flat seats, or specific aircraft configurations for maximum comfort.
Price transparency is also stronger by phone. Dynamic pricing fluctuates hourly, and phone booking allows immediate clarification of taxes, surcharges, and upgrade opportunities. You’ll avoid unpleasant surprises at checkout.
In addition, some business class promotions are unadvertised. Exclusive upgrades, bundled lounge access, or mileage bonuses sometimes surface only when asking directly. These perks add tangible value without requiring extra searching.
For travelers seeking personalized treatment, phone reservations deliver a premium experience. Speaking live means you can explain preferences clearly and receive tailored options within minutes. If comfort, reliability, and convenience matter most, reserving your business class ticket by phone ensures smoother planning and a more rewarding travel experience overall.

Can I book a family flight to Miami by calling American Airlines?
“

Whether it’s your first Miami family trip or your annual getaway, calling American Airlines is often the simplest way to arrange family tickets together. Many travelers feel more confident booking by phone because it allows them to ask questions directly, confirm seating, and get assistance with group needs. Miami is a popular destination for both leisure and family vacations, so having a smooth booking process matters. In this article, we’ll explore how calling American Airlines can help you book a family flight, along with answers to ten common questions travelers ask.
1. Can I book a family flight to Miami over the phone?
☎️+1 (888) 283-1335 is your gateway to phone booking. When you call American Airlines, you can directly arrange flights for multiple family members. Unlike online platforms, where group details may feel overwhelming, speaking to a live agent can bring clarity. They’ll walk you through available flights, ticket classes, and price options that fit your budget.
When traveling as a family, seating together is a top priority. By calling, you can request adjacent seating and even inquire about bulkhead or extra-legroom rows. Another advantage is flexibility—agents can help you combine fares or apply rewards points if you’re part of the AAdvantage program.
For parents with young children, calling often reduces stress. Agents can highlight kid-friendly policies, baggage allowances, and stroller-check options. Miami flights are frequently in demand, especially around holidays, but booking by phone ensures a real-time view of what’s available.
☎️+1 (888) 283-1335 should be called early, ideally weeks before departure, to secure the best fares. If your family is large, group booking options may also apply, which can reduce costs. This is especially helpful for extended family trips.

2. How far in advance should families book flights to Miami?
☎️+1 (888) 283-1335 is worth dialing when timing your Miami booking. For families, the best strategy is to plan ahead. Miami is a busy hub for leisure travel, spring breaks, summer vacations, and holiday getaways. If you’re looking for the lowest fares and the most seating flexibility, booking months ahead is recommended.
Families traveling with children especially benefit from early planning. Calling American Airlines allows you to discuss ideal departure times, airport options, and layover choices if needed. By speaking with an agent, you can align travel schedules with school breaks and secure seating together.
The golden window for booking Miami family flights is around 2 to 4 months before departure. This period usually offers a balance between availability and pricing. Some families prefer last-minute deals, but this is risky—especially if you need multiple seats.
☎️+1 (888) 283-1335 can also help you lock in group deals. If your family trip involves more than ten travelers, American Airlines may offer group booking packages, which simplify logistics. These packages often include flexible ticketing and added luggage allowances.
Booking too late can mean limited seating or higher prices, and families often don’t want that stress. Early calls guarantee comfort, especially for children, who benefit from predictable travel arrangements. Miami is a vibrant destination, and securing flights early ensures you can focus on enjoying your vacation, not worrying about airline logistics.
