You must hold that person in mind so that to some extent love is a kind of meditation-a loving focus upon another individual. Once you experience that kind of love you can translate it into other tenns. The love itself spreads out, expands, so that you can then see others in love's light. Acceptance" is a very important word in our lives. People drive themselves into madness and death thinking about the chasm that exists between their ideals and their actual reality that they are living. There must be a balance between improvement of one's self and one's circumstances and the acceptance of reality. There is a beautiful dance that one must learn, which involves embracing the reality of your life as you would embrace a Latin dance partner on the ballroom floor, and moving that partner (your reality) in graceful strides, towards where you want to be situated, on that dance floor. If you dance with no partner (your current reality), you will arrive at your destination empty. Empty. That is, if you ever arrive at all. But when you dance with that partner, embracing and accepting it for all of its flaws and its redeeming qualities, you will be able to move across that dance floor as a full, whole person. Wherever you end up stopping in that ballroom, you will stop there as a whole person, not an empty one. So, accept the mistakes that have been done unto you and the mistakes that you have done. Accept the fact that you didn't grow up perfectly and you are not perfect now. Accept, embrace, love the people who are given to you to love. And love yourself just as you are.

And then you have the person go out in the world and confront those things that they are avoiding, that are stopping them from moving to that higher place. FEBRUARY 2 I WILL PURIFY YOUR LIFE WITH MY FIRE ON THE DAY that I come, I will come like a furnace that purifies silver, and I will purify you like I purify gold and silver. I will redeem you from every lawless deed and purify you for Myself to be My own special people, zealous for good works. Draw near to Me, and I will draw near to you. Humble yourself in My sight, and when My purifying work is complete, I will lift you up and purge you with My holy fire so that you become an offering before Me of righteousness. I have tested you and refined you as silver is refined. I have allowed you to pass through fire and through water, but I brought you out to rich fulfillment. Refine me like silver. Purge my life from sin and imperfection as You purge gold and silver that I may become an offering before You of righteousness. I will live my life by denying ungodliness and world lusts, and I will live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age.

His Return Come Lord Jesus, come! Hasten the day of Your return and redeem me from this world! It grows more and more corrupt every day and it only makes me long for You more. Return Lord and establish love, truth, and Your kingdom. “Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.” 2Pe 3:11-13 ***Pray for the Lord’s return. Until He comes, be found faithful in love, in faith, in your conduct, and in purity; dwelling in the Spirit of God unto the salvation of your soul. Continue in the Spirit and in the works that benefit a relationship with Him. Continue to pursue Him and continue to meet with Him in the secret place. Let go of this world and the things of it. Let go of this present life and carry your cross to honor God in everything you do. Conduct yourself in godliness, not forsaking the needs of others but filling them perfectly. Walk in love and honor God through obedience.***

Never forget as you enter your inner sanctuary that your whole relationship with God depends on what you think of sin and of yourself as a redeemed sinner.

Healing from trauma requires that you tell the story . . . and tell the story . . . and tell the story. There are a variety of ways to tell the story. You can write it out in a narrative. Assemble a memory book of pictures of yourself at different ages and describe the pain of each one. Create a collage of pictures that illustrate your feelings because of your abuse or abandonment. Verbally share with safe people. With each repetition part of the shame falls away and God’s voice of truth becomes louder.

In the moment of your death, the desire to redeem yourself becomes a physical thing, like a rope you can use to pull yourself back from the edge of drowning.

Love is daily admitting to yourself, your spouse, and God that you are not able to love this way without God’s protecting, providing, forgiving, rescuing, and delivering grace.

Not completely. Never made the decision to live for him instead of yourself. You know, no more doing things your way, out of selfish motivation?” He hiked a brow while a smile fidgeted on his lips. “You want God’s blessings in your life? You have to obey him. Deuteronomy 30 in the flesh, my good friend. And there’s only one way any human being can even hope to make an attempt at obeying him. And that’s to make him Lord of their life.

You do things his way, not yours. You pray, you listen, and the you pray some more. You take one step at a time, with his Word as a lamp unto your feet. In everything you say, think, or do, you look to honor him, not yourself. You become a new creature in Christ Jesus, one who can finally say no to sin and yes to God' He leaned back and folded his arms, a grin surfacing on his lips. 'And then, if I were you, I'd duck my head and look out.' She blinked, 'Why?' 'Because the blessings of God are going to overtake you, Charity O'Connor, and you're going to find yourself overloaded with the desires of your heart.

O that pearl of great price! have you found it? Is the Savior supreme in your love? O consider it well, ere you answer, As you hope for a welcome above. Have you given up all for this treasure? Have you counted past gains as but loss? Has your trust in yourself and your merits Come to naught before Christ and His cross? Have you come to the living Redeemer, Him that bore all your sins on the tree? Has He graciously pardoned and cleansed you In the blood shed for you and for me? At His feet as one dead, have you fallen, And been quickened anew by His voice, Till, entranced by His riches of goodness, In His presence you live and rejoice? Has the Savior, the righteous, the holy, Cast the beams of His all searching light Into all of your heart’s deep recesses, And transformed into day their dark night? O then answer these questions so pressing, Before God, ere time’s favor shall cease, Is the pearl of great price yours forever? Have you Jesus, and in Him your peace?

People are allowed to be screwed up. That's the most efficient realisation I have ever had. That people are allowed to be screwed up, to fall, and to hardly even make it at all. You're allowed that. Redemption is a part of life. You can be a train wreck today and a few months from now be an absolute winner in life. The problem is when you don't allow life to redeem yourself and others. It's a problem when you're severe and fatalistic. Let the river flow whichever way it may go! Let others die and come back to life again! Don't be hammering nails into coffins. Don't hammer nails into your own coffin, either.

As you struggle, you must not view your marriage as bad luck, or poor planning, or as a mess that you made for yourself. No, God is right smack-dab in the middle of your struggle. He is not surprised by what you are facing today. He is up to something.

But here’s something I do know—the gifts God placed in us for His glory and for the furthering of His Kingdom here on earth are the very things we will bring into eternity with us. Imagine looking and feeling our very best in a place where we will never grow tired of worshipping God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit… “Not only that, we will have the ability to think in Heaven, feel and emote, but without ever shedding tears, getting sick or battling boredom. The instant you step into eternity, you will still be you; but not the sinless version of yourself, the redeemed version, personality and all!

Over the years, I have grown to see people in need of a savior so bad that they would eat grass, drink petrol, and be fed rats and snakes all in the name of finding a messiah. I’ve seen people attempt to deal with the loss of their jobs or school or other livelihood forms or desperately attempt to scramble out of poverty by believing in the most laughable of saviors and ‘miracle workers’. I’ve witnessed women battered, scorned and stripped of their poise and essence because they could not walk away from scoundrels they’d previously deemed their ‘saviors’. Such relationships lead to a savior-martyr relationship. In other words – a certified disaster-in-waiting. Martyr complex is a collateral product of blame. You blame someone for your current misfortunes therefore you go looking for someone else to save you. You blame yourself for your shortcomings and therefore there must be someone out there who can redeem your broken self.
