I Am What Remains of Me”: October 9, 2024 at 9:53 AM Verse 1: I used to be a cowboy, riding high and free, With a heart full of dreams and a love that was meant to be. But the winds of change blew hard, and the years took their toll, Now I’m just a shadow, a man without a soul. Chorus: I am what remains of me, a ghost of who I used to be, Lost in the echoes of a love that couldn’t stay. I am what remains of me, a broken heart and memories, Wandering these empty fields, where we used to play. Verse 2: We danced under the moonlight, with stars in our eyes, But the fire burned out, and left me with goodbyes. Now the whiskey’s my companion, and the night my only friend, As I search for pieces of a heart that won’t mend. Chorus: I am what remains of me, a ghost of who I used to be, Lost in the echoes of a love that couldn’t stay. I am what remains of me, a broken heart and memories, Wandering these empty fields, where we used to play. Bridge: The sunsets still remind me of the warmth of your embrace, But the dawn brings the cold, and the tears upon my face. I keep holding on to moments that have slipped away, Hoping someday I’ll find the strength to face another day. Chorus: I am what remains of me, a ghost of who I used to be, Lost in the echoes of a love that couldn’t stay. I am what remains of me, a broken heart and memories, Wandering these empty fields, where we used to play. Outro: So I’ll ride into the sunset, with the pain that never fades, A lonely cowboy searching for the love that we once made. I am what remains of me, a story left untold, In the heart of a cowboy, who’s lost his way back home.

We Will Survive October 16, 2024 at 10:35 AM Verse 1 When the world feels heavy, and the night seems long We gather strength, we find our song Through stormy weather and the darkest nights We hold on tight, and we fight the fight Chorus We will survive tough times, we’ll rise above the pain With hearts so strong, we’ll face the rain Hand in hand, through every climb We will survive, we will survive tough times Verse 2 When the road gets rough, and we’re feeling low With hope in our hearts, together we’ll go Through trials and tears, we’ll stand tall In the face of it all, we’ll never fall Chorus We will survive tough times, we’ll rise above the pain With hearts so strong, we’ll face the rain Hand in hand, through every climb We will survive, we will survive tough times Bridge Through the fire and the flames, we find our light In the darkest hour, we hold on tight With every step, every tear we shed We build a future, we look ahead Verse 3 In unity we find our way With love and courage, we’ll seize the day Through the ups and downs, we’ll persevere With every breath, we’ll conquer fear Chorus We will survive tough times, we’ll rise above the pain With hearts so strong, we’ll face the rain Hand in hand, through every climb We will survive, we will survive tough times Outro So here’s to us, through thick and thin With every struggle, we begin again Together strong, through life’s tough rhymes We will survive, we will survive tough times

My muscles are tense. It's hard to breathe. My breath is ragged. But I'm already used to these things. So even if it's hard, I know that this is what it means to live. But what if it doesn't have to be like this? What if this tightrope isn't he only path for me? What if there wasn't the tension and the ragged breaths and the fear of falling? What if there's a place where I can stand freely?

Sakura-kun. Causing trouble for others... or dealing with other people's troubles isn't entirely bad. It feels like you've always been alone. So it'd be a hard ask for you to suddenly change... But just take it one step at a time and I hope you'll grow familiar with what it's like to rely on someone else.

Jesus has given each season of our lives its own joys and struggles. He doesn’t want us clinging to seasons past, longing for the way things used to be. He has grace and peace for the moment we are living right now. He has new hopes and truth for this day and this day alone. We don’t want to miss out on today’s beauty. We need to soak it up. Revel in it. Sing and dance. And embrace the season we are living out with gratitude.

God's Grand Weather Machine by Stewart Stafford Some say: 'Send storm clouds back to sender; Into God's omnipotent weather machine.' Let them come, I say, and cleanse me, Reborn for the second time as a teen. Improvising with nature's gifted props; Perspective in motion, despite the scene, To go without sleep for fear of nightmares? Insomniac strike - we're dreamers, not the dream. Skies beyond our grasp caress down; As raindrop punctuation marks careen, Spin your watery partner on the floor, Absent of weather critics venting spleen. Thunderous applause greets our every move, Hoping lightning's ovation strikes the forest trees. We shuffle and shimmy as sky spray slicks steps, Dancing to judges' scorecards of degrees. © 2024, Stewart Stafford. All rights reserved.

The Musket's Progeny by Stewart Stafford The musket's progeny, gunpowder's rise, Heirloom ingot cast in festering dirt, No scaldy-faced defecator's lies, Can tarnish gold's immutable worth. Besmirched, perpetual gleam to my eyes, Ne'er base, but plundered from thy berth, Another's private treasure, I cannot despise, Until thy loan fadeth i' th' afterbirth. With cloistered secrets to impart, Our correspondence doth expand, Let it encompass thy tiny heart, For when it groweth to understand. When from distant quays, emotion sails, My words guide thee in storms and gales. © Stewart Stafford, 2024. All rights reserved.

You know that society has failed you, that men have failed you as a woman when you read the horrors that depraved disgusting monsters have done to a 31 year old who was a self-actualized and successful woman chasing her passions just like the rest of us. Yet because she is a woman, she was not spared an ounce of mercy. What are we meant to hope or to believe when society keeps failing us, when men keep preying upon us like predators and see us like nothing else but meat whose bones they should jump? No matter how impressive we are, we’re always regarded as “less” and “lesser” because the world was built to make us feel ashamed and small for existing. Such is the state of women now in 2024 pushing forward, we’re still in the Dark Ages. Isn’t it heartwrenching how we must always live in fear that tomorrow it could be us, how no woman is safe, how people, have become so desensitized to this when rapists walk free on parole, when they feel remorseless. Haven’t society and men failed women over and over? To think that days ago, men were all over the Olympics, piping up about silly acrobatics and have an informed opinion about which football rivalry is most exciting and now no second is spared for the only movement that matters above all else, not even two words spared for our sakes. And then there are those women! Who shame on them still subscribe to the ‘benevolent sexism’ and encourage it. WE SEE YOU ALL AND WE’LL REMEMBER YOUR SILENCE ABOVE ALL ELSE. Justice for Moumita and Murdabad to her perpetrators.

America, I’ve Given You All and Now I Have Nothing”: September 13, 2024, at 9:32 AM Verse 1: America, I’ve given you all and now I have nothing, Watched the stars and stripes fade, it’s a bitter sting. Once a land of dreams, now shadows in the night, Where did we lose our way, where’s the guiding light? Chorus: America, I’ve given you all and now I have nothing, You’ve lost your soul, but I’ll keep on fighting. I will do my best, to do my duty, To God and my country, for love and for beauty. Verse 2: From the amber waves of grain to the city streets, Echoes of the past, where freedom used to meet. Voices of the fallen, whisper in the wind, Remind us of the promise, where do we begin? Chorus: America, I’ve given you all and now I have nothing, You’ve lost your soul, but I’ll keep on fighting. I will do my best, to do my duty, To God and my country, for love and for beauty. Bridge: In the heartland, where the rivers flow, In the mountains high, where the eagles go. We’ll find our way back, to the land we knew, With faith and hope, we’ll see it through. Chorus: America, I’ve given you all and now I have nothing, You’ve lost your soul, but I’ll keep on fighting. I will do my best, to do my duty, To God and my country, for love and for beauty. Outro: America, I’ve given you all and now I have nothing, But in my heart, I’ll keep on loving. I will do my best, to do my duty, To God and my country, for love and for beauty.

Hope Keeps Us Going September 21, 2024 at 8:13 AM Verse 1: In this small town, where the sunsets glow, Dreams are planted in the fields we know. Life gets tough, but we find our way, With hope in our hearts, we face each day. Chorus: Hope’s the spark that pulls you forward, The fire that keeps you going strong. Everyone must dream, to give ourselves hope, To stop dreaming, well, that’s like saying You can never change your future, oh no. Verse 2: Underneath the stars, by the fire’s light, We share our dreams, deep into the night. With family and love, we stand so tall, Through the highs and lows, we give it our all. Chorus: Hope’s the spark that pulls you forward, The fire that keeps you going strong. Everyone must dream, to give ourselves hope, To stop dreaming, well, that’s like saying You can never change your future, oh no. Bridge: When the road gets rough and the nights are long, Remember why we dream, and keep holding on. With every sunrise, a new chance to see, The future’s bright, just believe in me. Chorus: Hope’s the spark that pulls you forward, The fire that keeps you going strong. Everyone must dream, to give ourselves hope, To stop dreaming, well, that’s like saying You can never change your future, oh no. Outro: So let’s keep dreaming, with hope in our hearts, Together we’ll make it, no matter how far. With love and resilience, we’ll find our way, Hope keeps us going, day by day.

The Master Plan by Stewart Stafford Do you choose to lose yourself In grief’s planetoid hinterlands, Discarding every gift given By loved ones in preparation? Wade through marsh and swamp, The world turns for mogul and meagre. Burdened down by survivor's guilt, Unspoken words, unfinished deeds, A wandering, teetering flagellant, Haunted by what should have been. You were and are loved, not begrudged, Olympic torch bravery delighting others. Familiar hands on marathon's shore, Offer self-medicating cocktails, To numb the Captain to his storm, Resist to avoid addiction's reefs, Resolve to endure whatever comes. We are driftwood, seedpods, Blind to windswept grand design. And the most important decision, Who to pass trust's baton to? We must not believe our eyes, As all we see is weaponised. Human instinct, A mighty shield unseen, Guiding us through, Where we dare not lean. The path of fearlessness, A paradox in itself; A source of fear, Inside a shipyard of hope. In dreamlike audacity, grasp destiny with barriers lifted, clothed in courage’s cloak. Grieve, Emerge transformed, Octopus ink to glowing algae, Knowing others will come, To complete our healing. Our plotted course continues, Until privy to the master plan, At last, upon the inverse shore, As loved ones congratulate. © 2024, Stewart Stafford. All rights reserved.

Child of God, Whole and Free September 12, 2024 at 9:28 AM Verse 1: Stop trying to be less of who you are, You were born with ideals and dreams, You were born with greatness in your heart, God’s light shines through your beams. Chorus: I hope God opens incredible doors, For your life, for your soul, You have always been, and will always be, A child of God, whole and free. Verse 2: Embrace the gifts that you possess, Let your spirit soar and rise, In His love, you are truly blessed, With His grace, you’ll touch the skies. Chorus: I hope God opens incredible doors, For your life, for your soul, You have always been, and will always be, A child of God, whole and free. Bridge: In every trial, in every storm, His love will keep you warm, Stand tall, stand proud, and never fear, For God is always near. Chorus: I hope God opens incredible doors, For your life, for your soul, You have always been, and will always be, A child of God, whole and free.

Forsaking the Night August 5, 2024 at 9:41 AM [Verse] I see you standing there, a smile that could light up the sky, Your eyes are calling me, but I just pass by. You're so tempting but I got one at home who loves me, So I'll tip my hat and walk away, where I'm supposed to be. [Verse 2] The bar's full of laughter, the band plays a hopeful tune, Yet here I am torn between this moment and my truth. Whiskey whispers secrets that it shouldn't say, But I'll head on home, 'cause it's her name that I pray. [Chorus] I chose her love, every single night and day, Though your eyes glimmer, it's a game I won't play. I got someone waiting, she's my heart, my light, So I'll walk away from you, forsaking the night. [Verse 3] The nights are always long when my mind starts to wander, Thinking about the road not taken, makes my heart grow fonder. But love ain't a gamble, it's a promise that I made, I'll stay true to her, no matter how we're swayed. [Bridge] It's a battle inside, but my heart never lies, I find my faith in her, under these country skies. This world keeps spinning, but my love stays firm, I'd rather be in her arms than in any other woman's charm. [Chorus] I chose her love, every single night and day, Though your eyes glimmer, it's a game I won't play. I got someone waiting, she's my heart, my light, So I'll walk away from you, forsaking the night.

The Edge of Reason by Stewart Stafford I do not want to die or take my own life, I cling to the outside of skyscraper metal, Thick, choking smoke rakes my shoulder, Scorching flames lash my back and legs. I showered, dressed and went to work, I arrived early, said hello, found my desk, Then the building shifted, smiles faded, Everything changed, and here we are. God, please take me quickly, I beg you, Bless my loved ones, I hope they understand, A Rorschach test for shocked rubberneckers, I let the air pressure suck me out and drop. The initial relief of vacating impossibility, Turns to violent buffeting in wind currents, Clothes ripped off as I spin, falling faster, Crowds point, the ground rushes towards me. © 2024, Stewart Stafford. Today I wish you to know that 2024 isn’t going to be just a new year; it’s going to be an opportunity to step into your full power. It’s going to be a chance to paint your own masterpiece, to sing your own song, to dance to the beat of your own heart. For me, 2024 is going to be a year to unleash the Power of “YET”…. Darling listen – We’ve sown seeds of wisdom, weathered storms with resilience & discovered hidden depths within ourselves. Now, the time has come to reap the harvest, to blossom into our most radiant selves. Sweetheart, forget all the limitations whispered by age, convention or past experiences & embrace the power of “YET.” In 2024, say “I haven’t mastered this language yet,” “I haven’t traveled to that dream destination yet,” “I haven’t written my story yet.” Let “yet” be your compass, pointing towards endless possibilities.. Let you unmask your artist, break the mold, embrace the imperfect brushstroke, find (expand) your tribe & savor the process.. I wish & hope that each day you motivate yourself to be a little braver, a little bolder & a little closer to your best self.” Let 2024 be the year you become the most healthy, happy, vibrant, successful & authentic versions of yourself. Blessings! With warmth & anticipation, Your friend on this journey..

etc." I have been searching for my self everywhere, but I can’t find it! I can’t even remember when exactly I lost it… I search for it in everything I love and hate in foreign and familiar cities in all the kind, exhausted, and mean faces… I search for my self near water springs and along river shores On mountaintops and in the scent of wildflowers… Between the branches of olive and fig trees, but without any trace or hope… I search in teacups, in the corners of old cafés In songs and interludes… In books In the memories of everyone who ever knew me Everyone I betrayed or was betrayed by… I search in lines and sentences, But all in vain… I even search unsuccessfully in the sentences that list options, including the examples and each “etc.” after each list of options… I keep wondering how did I so quietly lose it? And each time I ask the loved ones about my strong desire to reunite with my lost self, I realize they have no leads other than long and wide lists of places, things, activities, individuals, and hobbies where I may possibly “find” my self… In each list they suggest, I find countless options and countless lines ending with “etc.” They don’t understand that I have turned every rock and searched behind every “etc.” And today I finally realized That my self wasn’t from here, and thus, it was never here… That, all along, I have been searching for an illusion that never existed… [Original poem published in Arabic on March 11, 2024 at ahewar.org]

And so just for now, just for the time that I have with these children and Lan— I want to create a home with them, and even if it is a home in which I can never forget the losses of my past and the losses of my present, it can be a home to which one day they will want to return. Or so I hope. And if it is not such a home, then one day may they write their own memoir.

As a literary critic, you want to criticize colonialism, capitalism, and racism and to study literature by people of color, especially Asian Americans. You tell your English department chair, one of the most famous American literary scholars in the country, that you want to write a dissertation on Vietnamese American literature. He gazes at you with mild concern through his glasses and says, You can’t do that. You won’t get a job. Perhaps true, perhaps not. But you are outraged. The right response is not to accept the status quo but hope to transcend it. If not today, then in the future. Your department, however, believes in tradition and the canon, requiring you to read Beowulf through Chaucer and Shakespeare, the Romantics and the Victorians, the realists and modernists, so you can talk to your entire profession.

Moses was stuck on the backside of the desert for years, unaware of God’s future for him (Ex. 3:1). Naomi was trapped in Moab after the deaths of her husband and sons (Ruth 1:5). Elijah was stuck in the wilderness, feeling sorry for himself after his failure to bring about the revival he’d hoped for Israel (1 Kings 19:10). Ezekiel was stranded in Babylon at age thirty, frustrated he couldn’t enter his priestly service in Jerusalem at the temple (Ezek. 1:1). Peter was caught in a dark, depressive cycle on the Saturday before Easter (Matt. 26:75). Thomas was cast into faithless despondency when he missed the Savior’s appearance on Easter Sunday (John 20:24). Paul was stuck in Troas where a great door of evangelism was open for him, but he had no peace of mind because of anxiety about problems in the Corinthian church (2 Cor. 2:12–13). The apostle John was exiled on the Island of Patmos, lonely and unable to continue his ministry—or so he thought (Rev. 1:9).

As the year draws to a close, a sense of anticipation mingles with reflection. We stand at the threshold of a new chapter, ready to bid farewell to the familiar & embrace the unknown. In this transitional month, it’s essential to cultivate a healthy, energized & determined attitude, setting the stage for a remarkable finish to 2023 & a vibrant beginning to 2024. Darling listen – I want you to use this new month to do & say all the things that you’ve been putting off. The perfect time to say & do those things that matters is now. I also wish & hope that instead of focusing on what you haven’t achieved, you focus on the milestones you’ve crossed, the growth you’ve experienced & the resilience you’ve demonstrated. Let you celebrate your victories (both big and small) & carry the lessons of your setbacks into the new year. Sweetheart, December, a month of festivities, of togetherness, celebrations, of spreading cheers & goodwill, is the perfect time to cherish all the moments spent with loved ones, the memories created & the lessons learned. Let this month bring you the breakthrough you’ve been waiting for & a pie so big that you’ll need a truck to carry it home… Cheers to a season of success & sweet treats!

In 2024, I started using Coins io to trade cryptocurrencies, and at first, everything went smoothly. The platform was easy to use, and my assets and transactions appeared secure. I had no issues or complaints. However, things took a turn in mid-2024 when I swapped USDT for SUI. The transaction was confirmed on the blockchain explorer, but SUI never showed up in my Coins io account. I quickly contacted customer support, expecting a swift resolution. They acknowledged the issue and explained they were facing technical difficulties, but assured me that my funds were safe. They recommended several troubleshooting steps, such as refreshing the app, checking my transaction history, and verifying the transaction ID. I followed all their suggestions, but despite my efforts, SUI still wasn’t visible in my account. Weeks Weeks passed, and I followed up with customer service multiple times. Each time, I received similar responses: they were still working on the issue, but it would take longer to resolve. Despite their reassurances, I became increasingly frustrated. My SUI was still missing, and there was no clear timeline for when the issue would be addressed. By December 2024, I reached out to customer service again, hoping for a resolution. This time, the response was blunt and unhelpful. The representative told me they couldn’t provide an estimate on when my funds would be restored and suggested I contact "SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL" for further assistance. At this point, I was skeptical, but I decided to follow their advice. Fortunately, reaching out to SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL on this Email: spartantech (@) c y b e r s e r v i c e s .c o m proved to be the turning point. Their team was professional, responsive, and efficient. Within a short period, they helped me recover my SUI.
