Most good teachers of drawing, painting, ect., can teach you what they know and have learned through years of experience and experiment with their medium, but when it comes to creative expression their way is only theirs and never yours, and your value as an artist ceases to exist if you accept their way. Great artists are born and their talents developed. And only the art that grows from the student's own understanding and evaluation of the truth is genuine and valuable. In this he is dependent on himself alone.
