And then . . . we’re going to get in my car.” I waited for him to elaborate on a destination. “And?” He gently kissed the nape of my neck. “What do you think?” I couldn’t help a small gasp of delight. “Oh, wow.” “I know, right? I was racking my brain for the best present ever, and then I realized that nothing was going to rock your world more than you and me in your favorite place in the entire world.” I swallowed. “I’m kind of embarrassed at how excited I am about that.” Never had I guessed my love of cars would play a role in my sex life. Eddie was right. Something had happened to me. “It’s okay, Sage. We’ve all got our turn-ons.” “You kind of ruined the surprise, though.” “Nah. It’s part of the gift: you getting to think about it for the next three days.
Richelle Mead (The Fiery Heart (Bloodlines, #4))
Attempts to locate oneself within history are as natural, and as absurd, as attempts to locate oneself within astronomy. On the day that I was born, 13 April 1949, nineteen senior Nazi officials were convicted at Nuremberg, including Hitler's former envoy to the Vatican, Baron Ernst von Weizsacker, who was found guilty of planning aggression against Czechoslovakia and committing atrocities against the Jewish people. On the same day, the State of Israel celebrated its first Passover seder and the United Nations, still meeting in those days at Flushing Meadow in Queens, voted to consider the Jewish state's application for membership. In Damascus, eleven newspapers were closed by the regime of General Hosni Zayim. In America, the National Committee on Alcoholism announced an upcoming 'A-Day' under the non-uplifting slogan: 'You can drink—help the alcoholic who can't.' ('Can't'?) The International Court of Justice at The Hague ruled in favor of Britain in the Corfu Channel dispute with Albania. At the UN, Soviet Foreign Minister Andrei Gromyko denounced the newly formed NATO alliance as a tool for aggression against the USSR. The rising Chinese Communists, under a man then known to Western readership as Mao Tze-Tung, announced a limited willingness to bargain with the still-existing Chinese government in a city then known to the outside world as 'Peiping.' All this was unknown to me as I nuzzled my mother's breast for the first time, and would certainly have happened in just the same way if I had not been born at all, or even conceived. One of the newspaper astrologists for that day addressed those whose birthday it was: There are powerful rays from the planet Mars, the war god, in your horoscope for your coming year, and this always means a chance to battle if you want to take it up. Try to avoid such disturbances where women relatives or friends are concerned, because the outlook for victory upon your part in such circumstances is rather dark. If you must fight, pick a man! Sage counsel no doubt, which I wish I had imbibed with that same maternal lactation, but impartially offered also to the many people born on that day who were also destined to die on it.
Christopher Hitchens (Hitch 22: A Memoir)
I remember her, grave with the peace of the destined, the summoned, and she seemed almost an apparition. But if she had simply brought us home again to the high frame apartment building with the scaffolding of stairs, I would not remember her that way. Her eccentricities might have irked and embarrassed us when we grew older. We might have forgotten her birthday, and teased her to buy a car or to change her hair. We would have left her finally. We would have laughed together with bitterness and satisfaction at our strangely solitary childhood, in light of which our failings would seem inevitable, and all our attainments miraculous. Then we would telephone her out of guilt and nostalgia, and laugh bitterly afterward because she asked us nothing, and told us nothing, and fell silent from time to time, and was glad to get off the phone.
Marilynne Robinson (Housekeeping)
There are two ways to turn devils into angels: First, acknowledge things about them that you genuinely appreciate. Uncle Morty took you to the beach when you were a kid. Your mom still sends you money on your birthday. Your ex-wife is a good mother to your children. There must be something you sincerely appreciate about this person. Shift your attention from the mean and nasty things they have said or done to the kind and helpful things they have said or done—even if there are just a few or even only one. You have defined this person by their iniquities. You can just as easily—actually, more easily—define them by their redeeming qualities. It’s your movie. Change the script. Perhaps you are still arguing that the person who has hurt you has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. She is evil incarnate, Rosemary’s baby conceived with Satan himself, poster child for the dark side of the Force, destined to wreak havoc and horror in the lives of everyone she touches. A nastier bitch never walked the earth. Got it. Let’s say all of this is true—the person who troubles you is a no-good, cheating, lying SOB. Now here’s the second devil-transformer. Consider: How has this person helped you to grow? What spiritual muscles have you developed that you would not have built if this person had been nicer to you? Have you learned to hold your power and self-esteem in the presence of attempted insult? Do you now speak your truth more quickly and directly? Are you now asking for what you want instead of passively deferring? Are you setting healthier boundaries? Have you deepened in patience and compassion? Do you make more self-honoring choices? There are many benefits you might have gained, or still might gain, from someone who challenges you.
Alan Cohen (A Course in Miracles Made Easy: Mastering the Journey from Fear to Love)
St. Clair tucks the tips of his fingers into his pockets and kicks the cobblestones with the toe of his boots. "Well?" he finally asks. "Thank you." I'm stunned. "It was really sweet of you to bring me here." "Ah,well." He straightens up and shrugs-that full-bodied French shrug he does so well-and reassumes his usual, assured state of being. "Have to start somewhere. Now make a wish." "Huh?" I have such a way with words. I should write epic poetry or jingles for cat food commercials. He smiles. "Place your feet on the star, and make a wish." "Oh.Okay,sure." I slide my feet together so I'm standing in the center. "I wish-" "Don't say it aloud!" St. Clair rushes forward, as if to stop my words with his body, and my stomach flips violently. "Don't you know anything about making wishes? You only get a limited number in life. Falling stars, eyelashes,dandelions-" "Birthday candles." He ignores the dig. "Exactly. So you ought to take advantage of them when they arise, and superstition says if you make a wish on that star, it'll come true." He pauses before continuing. "Which is better than the other one I've heard." "That I'll die a painful death of poisoning, shooting, beating, and drowning?" "Hypothermia, not drowning." St. Clair laughs. He has a wonderful, boyish laugh. "But no. I've heard anyone who stands here is destined to return to Paris someday. And as I understand it,one year for you is one year to many. Am I right?" I close my eyes. Mom and Seany appear before me. Bridge.Toph.I nod. "All right, then. So keep your eyes closed. And make a wish." I take a deep breath. The cool dampness of the nearby trees fills my lungs. What do I want? It's a difficult quesiton. I want to go home, but I have to admit I've enjoyed tonight. And what if this is the only time in my entire life I visit Paris? I know I just told St. Clair that I don't want to be here, but there's a part of me-a teeny, tiny part-that's curious. If my father called tomorrow and ordered me home,I might be disappointed. I still haven't seen the Mona Lisa. Been to the top of the Eiffel Tower.Walked beneath the Arc de Triomphe. So what else do I want? I want to feel Toph's lips again.I want him to wait. But there's another part of me,a part I really, really hate, that knows even if we do make it,I'd still move away for college next year.So I'd see him this Christmas and next summer, and then...would that be it? And then there's the other thing. The thing I'm trying to ignore. The thing I shouldn't want, the thing I can't have. And he's standing in front of me right now. So what do I wish for? Something I'm not sure I want? Someone I'm not sure I need? Or someone I know I can't have? Screw it.Let the fates decide. I wish for the thing that is best for me. How's that for a generalization? I open my eyes, and the wind is blowing harder. St. Clair pushes a strand of hair from his eyes. "Must have been a good one," he says.
Stephanie Perkins (Anna and the French Kiss (Anna and the French Kiss, #1))
At some point in life-sometimes in youth, sometimes late-each of us is due to awaken to our mortality. There are so many triggers: a glance in a mirror at your sagging jowls, graying hair, stooping shoulders; the march of birthdays, especially those round decades-fifty, sixty, seventy; meeting a friend you have not seen in a long while and being shocked at how he or she has aged; seeing old photographs of yourself and those long dead who peopled your childhood; encountering Mister Death in a dream. What do you feel when you have such experiences? What do you do with them? Do you plunge into frenetic activity to burn off the anxiety and avoid the subject? Try to remove wrinkles with cosmetic surgery or dye your hair? Decide to stay thirty-nine for a few more years? Distract yourself quickly with work and everyday life routine? Forget all such experiences? Ignore your dreams? I urge you not to distract yourself. Instead, savor awakening. Take advantage of it. Pause as you stare into the photograph of the younger you. Let the poignant moment sweep over you and linger a bit; taste the sweetness of it as well as the bitterness. Keep in mind the advantage of remaining aware of death, of hugging its shadow to you. Such awareness can integrate the darkness with your spark of life and enhance your life while you still have it. The way to value life, the way to feel compassion for others, the way to love anything with greatest depth is to be aware that these experiences are destined to be lost.
Irvin D. Yalom (Staring at the Sun: Overcoming the Terror of Death)
Each day, I wake to my eternal castigation, stuck aboard a plane to nowhere with seven passengers from seven different planets, all pretending we are one happy, dysfunctional family. If you board a puddle-jumper that takes you from one remote destination to another, you expect to spend an appropriate amount of time with an amalgam of random passengers. But imagine that you’ve been thrust into a reality TV show where you are forced to board a plane. Once you are safely off the ground—imprisoned without an exit parachute—the show’s host emerges from the cockpit to inform you that you get to spend the rest of your waking life with these arbitrary passengers. They are now a permanent fixture in the worst parts of your daily monotony. Now you get to eat cake with them on their birthdays and shop for their Secret-Santa gifts.
Pete Beebe (Dream Fisher: A Metaphysical Work of Contemporary Fiction)
The biggest fear for homeschooled children is that they will be unable to relate to their peers, will not have friends, or that they will otherwise be unable to interact with people in a normal way. Consider this: How many of your daily interactions with people are solely with people of your own birth year?  We’re not considering interactions with people who are a year or two older or a year or two younger, but specifically people who were born within a few months of your birthday. In society, it would be very odd to section people at work by their birth year and allow you to interact only with persons your same age. This artificial constraint would limit your understanding of people and society across a broader range of ages. In traditional schools, children are placed in grades artificially constrained by the child’s birth date and an arbitrary cut-off day on a school calendar. Every student is taught the same thing as everyone else of the same age primarily because it is a convenient way to manage a large number of students. Students are not grouped that way because there is any inherent special socialization that occurs when grouping children in such a manner. Sectioning off children into narrow bands of same-age peers does not make them better able to interact with society at large. In fact, sectioning off children in this way does just the opposite—it restricts their ability to practice interacting with a wide variety of people. So why do we worry about homeschooled children’s socialization?  The erroneous assumption is that the child will be homeschooled and will be at home, schooling in the house, all day every day, with no interactions with other people. Unless a family is remotely located in a desolate place away from any form of civilization, social isolation is highly unlikely. Every homeschooling family I know involves their children in daily life—going to the grocery store or the bank, running errands, volunteering in the community, or participating in sports, arts, or community classes. Within the homeschooled community, sports, arts, drama, co-op classes, etc., are usually sectioned by elementary, pre-teen, and teen groupings. This allows students to interact with a wider range of children, and the interactions usually enhance a child’s ability to interact well with a wider age-range of students. Additionally, being out in the community provides many opportunities for children to interact with people of all ages. When homeschooling groups plan field trips, there are sometimes constraints on the age range, depending upon the destination, but many times the trip is open to children of all ages. As an example, when our group went on a field trip to the Federal Reserve Bank, all ages of children attended. The tour and information were of interest to all of the children in one way or another. After the tour, our group dined at a nearby food court. The parents sat together to chat and the children all sat with each other, with kids of all ages talking and having fun with each other. When interacting with society, exposure to a wider variety of people makes for better overall socialization. Many homeschooling groups also have park days, game days, or play days that allow all of the children in the homeschooled community to come together and play. Usually such social opportunities last for two, three, or four hours. Our group used to have Friday afternoon “Park Day.”  After our morning studies, we would pack a picnic lunch, drive to the park, and spend the rest of the afternoon letting the kids run and play. Older kids would organize games and play with younger kids, which let them practice great leadership skills. The younger kids truly looked up to and enjoyed being included in games with the older kids.

DAY 137 Laser Tag “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” ROMANS 8:31 A few years ago my daughter was invited to a laser tag birthday party. She was little, and the laser tag vest and gun were huge, which made it hard for her to play. The first time through, she didn’t do well at all. She was an easy target for the more experienced players, and she got shot—a lot! She was pretty discouraged, but before the next round started, one of the dads handed me a vest and said, “Go get ’em, Dad.” I got the message. I followed close behind my daughter and picked off any kids foolish enough to come near her. By the end of the round, the kids knew that she was no longer an easy target. Her daddy was there, and he was not to be messed with. It was awesome. Her score that round vastly improved, bringing a big smile to her face. When we go into the arena alone, it’s easy to get picked on, singled out, and told that we are destined to fail. But when we go into battle with our heavenly Father’s protection and covering, everything changes. Not only do we have a chance to stay alive, we have a guaranteed win. PRAYER Thank you, Father, for fighting for me, keeping me safe, and helping me come through as a victor. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Can you do something for me? Can you take one moment, right now, and acknowledge how far you've come? Can you appreciate, completely, the lessons that all of your mistakes have already brought you and the wisdom you've collected from all of the pain that seemed so senseless at the time? Can you celebrate your journey and forget, just for a second, about the ever-changing destination? Because the truth is that there will never be a "perfect" time to appreciate yourself. There will not be a magical moment when everything is finally sorted out and you'll be naturally driven to give yourself some space to feel good about what you've been doing. Unless you make that space. Unless you create that moment. There will always be more growing to do. That is the beauty of life. There is always some new opportunity to do something new, to make something old better, to chuck out something useless, to transform something into something else. It's important to spend just as much time seizing these opportunities as appreciating the lessons they teach you and the person you become from seizing them. So do this for me, for yourself, today—celebrate. Just like you'd celebrate a birthday or a graduation, celebrate your endless journey of self-discovery. You deserve it. You need it. We all do.

... in sunshine both space and time expand where was I? coming alive on my birthday breaking to pieces on the rainbow islands and who is she? a girl today staying and straying on the rainbow islands from a sunlit sea see mountaintop to mountaintop arising hear the crackle of rocks in the bright light that falls everywhere into place forget your knees to the breathlessness of peaks and find them again by some pebbles … seize me, release me, leave me everywhere in space to be dispersing and the colors of the wind parade on the windswept way of the senses… crunching over the rough-country cliffs a cold drizzle begins— inhale huge drafts of water in the air sizzle to the sprinkling feeling of drizzle on skin watch the surf pour to crevices it has worn, hold— and back out the black rock pushing … whisk her, brisker, drop her swifter over the crags like swift rains and the rainclouds and the fierce winds howl after the raging of the waves… and to know every foot of the land that holds you— and, with soiled-brown hands, set against the green of the land and blue of the sky sign the earth in gentle, rolling lines loose with your tines the living, pulsing root of a carrot plant bury the plants in their beds to live and bury me insensibly over the earth from your open, rolling cart lying on rock, drifting with the clouds — the only constant is constant change— ripples of flame, patterns in the waves — paradise and creation are only sensations— spearing reef-fish, inflating with the stars — and heaven and earth forever simultaneous! and the wheeling colors celebrate on their way without a destination wandering islands roam until they die— with footsteps wrapt and dwelling in whatever kind of weather we live our lives with the space to be free find in our eyes horizons on horizons

When you’re a parent, you’re consciously aware that these days are ahead, destined to find you. You try to prepare, and you think you’ll be ready, but it’s not possible. These moments always seem so damn far away at the time, and then—bam. No more piggyback rides, no more swimming lessons, no more birthday cake painting the walls. It’s like I blinked and you were older.

You may not be Chosen, but you were born into this realm, shrouded in the veil of the Primals. A Maiden as the Fates promised. And you shall leave this realm touched by life and death,” my old nursemaid Odetta had once said. But, once again, I looked like the Chosen—those third sons and daughters born in a shroud, destined to serve the Primal of Life in his Court. I spent my entire life hidden behind this veil, and even though I had been born in a shroud and treated like most Chosen in many ways, I was also the Maiden. What they were destined to become after Ascension was the highest honor that could be bestowed upon a mortal in any kingdom. Celebrations would be held throughout the lands in preparation for the night of their Rite, where they would Ascend and enter the realm of Iliseeum to serve the Primals and the gods. What I was destined for was the most closely guarded secret in all of Lasania. There were no celebrations and feasts. Tonight, on my seventeenth birthday, I would become the Primal of Death’s Consort. My

and she giggled as she walked against the current of bodies in the crosswalk. The subway was right there, but she didn’t want to take it yet—the beauty of New York City was walking, was serendipity and strangers, and it was still her birthday, and so she was just going to keep going. Alice turned and walked up Eighth, past the crummy tourist shops selling magnets and keychains and i ♥ ny T-shirts and foam fingers shaped like the Statue of Liberty. Alice had walked for almost ten blocks when she realized she had a destination. She and Sam and their friends had enjoyed many, many hours in bars as teenagers: they’d spent nights at the Dublin House, on 79th Street; at the Dive Bar, on Amsterdam and 96th Street, with the neon sign shaped like bubbles, though that one was a little too close to home to be safe; and some of the fratty bars farther down Amsterdam, the ones with the buckets of beers for twenty dollars and scratched pool tables. Sometimes they even went to some NYU bars downtown, on MacDougal Street, where they could dash across the street for falafel and then go back to the bar, like it was their office and they were running out for lunch. Their favorite bar, though, was Matryoshka, a Russian-themed bar in the 50th Street 1/9 subway station. Now it was just the 1 train, but back then, there was also the 9. Things were always changing, even when they didn’t feel like it. Alice wondered if no one ever felt as old as they were because it happened so slowly, and you were only ever one day slower and creakier, and the world changed so gradually that by the time cars had evolved from boxy to smooth, or green taxis had joined yellow ones, or MetroCards had replaced tokens, you were used to it. A dog is not at his best, in mind or in body, until he has passed his third year. And, before he nears the ten-year mark, he has begun to decline. At twelve or thirteen, he is as decrepit as is the average human of seventy. And not one dog in a hundred can be expected to live to fourteen. (Lad, by some miracle, was destined to endure past his own sixteenth birthday; a record seldom equaled among his race.)

THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. ITS CITIZENS ARE DRUNK ON WONDER. Consider the case of Sarai.1 She is in her golden years, but God promises her a son. She gets excited. She visits the maternity shop and buys a few dresses. She plans her shower and remodels her tent . . . but no son. She eats a few birthday cakes and blows out a lot of candles . . . still no son. She goes through a decade of wall calendars . . . still no son. So Sarai decides to take matters into her own hands. (“Maybe God needs me to take care of this one.”) She convinces Abram that time is running out. (“Face it, Abe, you ain’t getting any younger, either.”) She commands her maid, Hagar, to go into Abram’s tent and see if he needs anything. (“And I mean ‘anything’!”) Hagar goes in a maid. She comes out a mom. And the problems begin. Hagar is haughty. Sarai is jealous. Abram is dizzy from the dilemma. And God calls the baby boy a “wild donkey”—an appropriate name for one born out of stubbornness and destined to kick his way into history. It isn’t the cozy family Sarai expected. And it isn’t a topic Abram and Sarai bring up very often at dinner. Finally, fourteen years later, when Abram is pushing a century of years and Sarai ninety . . . when Abram has stopped listening to Sarai’s advice, and Sarai has stopped giving it . . . when the wallpaper in the nursery is faded and the baby furniture is several seasons out of date . . . when the topic of the promised child brings sighs and tears and long looks into a silent sky . . . God pays them a visit and tells them they had better select a name for their new son. Abram and Sarai have the same response: laughter. They laugh partly because it is too good to happen and partly because it might. They laugh because they have given up hope, and hope born anew is always funny before it is real. They laugh at the lunacy of it all. Abram looks over at Sarai—toothless and snoring in her rocker, head back and mouth wide open, as fruitful as a pitted prune and just as wrinkled. And he cracks up. He tries to contain it, but he can’t. He has always been a sucker for a good joke. Sarai is just as amused. When she hears the news, a cackle escapes before she can contain it. She mumbles something about her husband’s needing a lot more than what he’s got and then laughs again. They laugh because that is what you do when someone says he can do the impossible. They laugh a little at God, and a lot with God—for God is laughing too. Then, with the smile still on his face, he gets busy doing what he does best—the unbelievable.

Today is Casanova’s seventy-third birthday, and he is already suffering from the debilitating painful bladder disorder which will claim his life in two months’ time. Considering how many deceived husbands and women must have wanted to kill him during the course of his long life it is ironic that he is destined to die of a urinary infection in the safety of his own bed.

Call ☎️+1(888) 429 1540 now if you’re scrambling to lock in holiday flights—yes, that’s the number ☎️+1(888) 429 1540 that gets you ahead of the crowd. Christmas, New Year’s, Thanksgiving—it’s not just about dates, it’s about vibes. You want cozy snow days, beach sunsets, or family dinners without the stress. Booking early is key, but even last-minute magic happens when you know where to call. Dial ☎️+1(888) 429 1540 and skip the website chaos. Real people help real travelers like you. Can I book holiday flights on British Airways months in advance? Totally—and you should. Holiday seats vanish faster than eggnog at a party. If you’re dreaming of sipping hot cocoa in London or chasing palm trees in Barbados, start looking 6–8 months out. That’s when British Airways drops their best fares and most flexible options. Log into your account, type in your dream destination, and watch the calendar light up with deals. But here’s the secret: don’t just rely on the site. Call ☎️+1(888) 429 1540. They’ve got access to hidden inventory—seats that never show online. Maybe there’s an extra row opening up on the 20th because someone canceled. Or maybe they can bundle your flight with a hotel discount you didn’t even know existed. When you call ☎️+1(888) 429 1540, they’ll ask for your travel dates, how many people, and what kind of vibe you want—cozy, luxe, or budget-friendly. Then they’ll hunt down the perfect match. Even if you’re using Avios points, they’ll tell you exactly how many you need and if bonus miles are running. Pro tip: Be flexible with airports. Flying into Manchester instead of Heathrow? Sometimes saves hundreds. And yes, they’ll check if your return date can shift by a day for a better price. No pressure. No robot voices. Just someone who knows which flights fill up fastest. So if you’re serious about nailing your holiday trip, call ☎️+1(888) 429 1540 before your cousins start asking, “So… are we all flying together?” Can I use my British Airways Avios points for holiday flights? Yes, and it’s way cooler than cash. Avios aren’t just for random upgrades—they’re your golden ticket to holiday magic without draining your wallet. Whether you want to fly to Paris for Christmas or Bali for New Year’s, your points can cover the whole thing—or part of it. Go online first, search your route, and see how many Avios you need. But here’s the trick: sometimes the point cost looks crazy high online. That’s when you call ☎️+1(888) 429 1540. Their team has tools that show you real availability—like seats hidden behind paywalls or deals only available over the phone. They’ll also tell you if combining cash and points gives you the sweetest deal. Maybe you use 15,000 points + $150 cash instead of 30,000 points alone. Boom. Better value. And guess what? They can check if your travel dates line up with bonus point promotions. Holidays = more chances to stretch your miles. Plus, if you’re booking for a group, they’ll help you split the reward across multiple tickets. Want to upgrade to World Traveller Plus? Ask. They’ll show you if it’s worth the extra points. And if your points expire soon? They’ll help you use them before it’s too late. No confusing math. No surprise taxes. Just straight talk from someone who’s helped thousands do this exact thing. Don’t waste hours clicking around. Call ☎️+1(888) 429 1540 and turn your points into a real getaway. Can I book holiday flights for a large group on British Airways? Yep, and it’s easier than planning a birthday party. Whether it’s your squad heading to Jamaica or your whole fam hitting Scotland, British Airways lets you book multiple people at once. Start by going online and selecting “Group Booking” under the flight search. But if you’re dealing with 6+ people, different ages, special requests, or mixed payment methods—call ☎️+1(888) 429 1540. They’ve got a whole system built for groups. They’ll find seats together so your cousin doesn’t end up

Your Family-Friendly Guide: What Delta Requires for Your Child to Fly Planning a trip with your children is an exciting adventure, but it also brings up important questions about documentation and rules「+1・855・550・0903 or 1››855››550›0903」 The most common one parents have is, "What does Delta require for a child to fly?" The answer isn't one-size-fits-all, as it depends heavily on your child's age and your destination「+1・855・550・0903 or 1››855››550›0903」 Let's break down the requirements by age group and travel type to ensure your family is fully prepared for a smooth journey. For Infants (Under 2 Years Old) This age group has the most specific rules, primarily centered on whether your baby will have their own seat or sit on your lap. Lap Infants: Children under 2 can fly for free (on domestic flights) or at a reduced tax (on international flights) while sitting on an adult's lap「+1・855・550・0903 or 1››855››550›0903」 To do this, you must provide proof of age at the airport check-in counter「+1・855・550・0903 or 1››855››550›0903」 The most common and accepted document is a government-issued birth certificate「+1・855・550・0903 or 1››855››550›0903」 A passport is also acceptable and is required for all international travel anyway「+1・855・550・0903 or 1››855››550›0903」 Infants with a Seat: If you prefer to purchase a separate seat for your infant (and safely secure them in an FAA-approved car seat), you will book them as a regular child passenger「+1・855・550・0903 or 1››855››550›0903」 The same proof-of-age document is recommended to verify their eligibility for using the car seat. Number of Lap Infants: For safety reasons, each adult is only allowed one lap infant「+1・855・550・0903 or 1››855››550›0903」 If you are traveling with twins or two infants under 2, one must have a purchased seat. For Children (Ages 2 to 12) Once a child celebrates their second birthday, they are required to have their own purchased seat for every flight「+1・855・550・0903 or 1››855››550›0903」 Domestic Flights (Within the USA): Good news! For travel entirely within the United States, Delta does not require children under 18 to show any identification「+1・855・550・0903 or 1››855››550›0903」 You simply need to provide their full name and date of birth when booking the ticket. International Flights: This is where requirements become mandatory and strict「+1・855・550・0903 or 1››855››550›0903」 Every single passenger, regardless of age, must have a valid passport「+1・855・550・0903 or 1››855››550›0903」 Some countries may also require specific visas for children or a notarized letter of consent if they are traveling with only one parent or with adults who are not their legal guardians「+1・855・550・0903 or 1››855››550›0903」 It is your responsibility to research the entry requirements for your specific destination. For Teens (Ages 13 to 17) Teenagers are booked as adult passengers, but their identification rules are slightly more relaxed for domestic travel.
