There were eleven of us.
Each more different than the next.
All with the same mindset.
Things weren't the way they were meant to be.
It was our job to make things right.
We were the soldiers of Halla.
It was time for us to take it back.

This was like no library I had ever seen because, well, there were no books. Actually, I take that back. There was one book, but it was the lobby of the building, encased in a heavy glass box like a museum exhibit. I figured this was a book that was here to remind people of the past and the way things used to be. As I walked over to it, I wondered what would be one book chosen to take this place of honor. Was it a dictionary? A Bible? Maybe the complete works of Shakespeare or some famous poet.
"Green Eggs and Ham?" Gunny said with surprise. "What kind of doctor writes about green eggs and ham?"
"Dr. Seuss," I answered with a big smile on my face. "It's my favorite book of all time."
Patrick joined us and said, "We took a vote. It was pretty much everybody's favorite. Landslide victory. I'm partial to Horton Hears A Who, but this is okay too."
The people of Third Earth still had a sense of humor.

And the places she turns up in Jamaica are all the more curious. I remember being at sound-system dances and hearing everyone from Bob Marley Kenny Rogers (yes, Kenny Rogers) to Sade to Yellowman to Beenie Man being blasted at top volume while the crowd danced and drank up a storm. But once the selector (DJ in American parlance) began to play a Celine Dion song, the crowd went buck wild and some people started firing shots in the air.... I also remember always hearing Celine Dion blasting at high volume whenever I passed through volatile and dangerous neighborhoods, so much that it became a cue to me to walk, run or drive faster if I was ever in a neighborhood I didn't know and heard Celine Dion mawking over the airwaves.

The reason is people who claim to be strong donβt know that being strong it doesnβt mean you should not accept help or ask for help when needed. Color flooded her cheeks and traveled down her neck. Finally, she stepped away from him, too, and found the back of a chair to clutch. She looked entirely devastated. Had no one ever denied her anything? He hated the hurt in her eyes. But it was done now.
"How is telling you I'm attracted to you an insult?"
He pressed the back of his hand into his forehead. It made him feel like a drama queen in some sort of musical farce. Which this had to be. "Telling me how unworthy I am of your attraction, that's the insulting part. And, no, that's not all it is. Even if you hadn't told me at every opportunity how inferior to you I am... all I do is cook... every assumption you've made about me is insulting. Culinary school is definitely college. And Le Cordon Bleu is one of the most competitive institutions in the world. The fact that that's so wholly incomprehensible to you... that's the insulting part. And it wasn't thrown in my overly privileged lap either. I had to work my bottom off to make it in."
Ammaji had sold her dowry jewels to pay for his application, something her family would have thrown her out on the street for had they found out.
Trisha squared her shoulders, the devastation draining fast from her face, leaving behind the self-possession he was so much more used to. And the speed with which she gathered herself shook something inside him. "I might not do what you see as important work, but I work hard at being a decent human being, and I would need anyone I'm with to be that first and foremost. Even if I didn't find snobbery in general incredibly unattractive, I would never go anywhere near a person as self-absorbed and arrogant as you, Dr. Raje. I would have to be insane to subject myself to your view of me and the world."
"Wow." She was panting, or maybe it was him. He couldn't be sure.
"You wanted honesty. I'm sorry if I hurt you."
She cleared her throat. "I'm surprised you think someone as... as... self-absorbed and arrogant as me is even capable of being hurt.

Ignore them. they really, really, hate being ignored. If you do actually train wreck a mix, there's no reason why the rest of the set can't be awesome. A DJ performing live has more in common with radio than a recording. It's a stream that only moves forward, and mistakes and blips are lost in time. Leave it, move on. No one will remember but the haters. Leave it to them like a gift.

To all those who are racists. Those who are taught to be racist and those who are teaching others to be racists.
Those who are racists in their hearts , mind, homes, and gatherings thinking other people wonβt know that they are racists.
Being racists is evil , wrong, unlawful, inhuman, bad and a crime against humanity. Regardless of whether you are being racists private or publicly.
It doesnβt matter how good are you in hiding it. As long you are practicing it and thinking it. It is totally wrong.
Not everyone can be a racist. It takes an evil, dark heart, horrible , selfish, heartless, uncultured, unmannered, barbaric , mean, retarded, disgusting,
low self-esteem, psychopath, narcists, pathological liar, hypocrite, and loser of a person to be racist.

To lovers out there β¦.
Some people think being single means purity. It means you are a good , innocent person. It means that you are doing better in life, and everything is good. It means you are a strong person. You can manage everything that you donβt need anyone in your life. Having someone it doesnβt mean you are incapable, weak, vulnerable and you are dependent. Being in a relationship with the right person. It is life changing. It is the best thing that everyone should hope for. Two is always better than one. It is twice of everything good, with less effort, strength and time. Being single and alone should not be by choice, but should be circumstantial . Love it is a powerful and beautiful thing . You can benefit a lot from it and it can do lot of things for you.

People choose not to care about right or wrong. They only care about who did what ? They choose to only call out people they donβt like, because when the same actions done by others. They donβt see anything wrong. To them is not about what happen, Is who made it happen.
It is not the problem or offence committed. They are concerned about, but It is who made the problem or committed the offence that makes them to be concern. They are not condemning the behavior or wrong actions, but are condemning Individuals they donβt like.
People choose to solve the person, not to solve the problem, caused by the person. That is why cancel culture, doesnβt cancel wrong things ,but it cancels people. It is because themselves are doing the same things, for they see nothing wrong, but the person who did them ,being wrong.

Radically new spiritual movements are cropping up, notably the βatheistβ practice of Syntheism. And musicians are creating stranger and stranger electrical sounds and rhythms, mixing them with strained voices, as if to underscore just how mysterious, yet peculiarly familiar, it all seems. And fashionable, tattooed young female DJ s play that music on the dance ο¬oor, and we dance under ο¬ashing lights into the darkness and get high and drunk and make out, as the reality we thought we knew is being torn down and we plunge into the sublime
and the unknown. And far out into the desert, under the clear skies of that luminous, open blackness lit by perfect
stars, we find each other in an intimate, loving embrace. Without the slightest effort we converse for hours and all
of reality melts away as we let go of our inner shields and. become one. In that timeless moment of forgiving embrace
we lose ourselves and find ourselves, both at once.

There's still time. The first episode hasn't aired yet. You can ask for any other chef and they'll give you what you want. I don't think I can do this."
"The habit of walking away from things must be a hard one to break," he said, when the last thing he wanted to think about right now was that particular moment from their past.
She's just a girl I dated in high school.
Her long, incredibly delicate fingers squeezed her temples, her jaw clenched, every inch of her screamed how badly she did not want to be doing this with him.
If she wanted to walk away, she was going to have to be the one to do it. Again. "As for how I behaved with DJ," he said when the silence had stretched out long enough that he knew she wasn't going to respond, "it was an honest mistake." None of this was about DJ.
"Dropping a knife from shock, that's an honest mistake," she said, the new shell she'd grown melting like ice around pine needles after a winter storm. "Being rude to someone because you're angry with someone else? That's just being spoiled and self-centered.

β βA good negotiator prepares, going in, to be ready for possible surprises; a great negotiator aims to use her skills to reveal the surprises she is certain to find. β βDonβt commit to assumptions; instead, view them as hypotheses and use the negotiation to test them rigorously. β βPeople who view negotiation as a battle of arguments become overwhelmed by the voices in their head. Negotiation is not an act of battle; itβs a process of discovery. The goal is to uncover as much information as possible. β βTo quiet the voices in your head, make your sole and all-encompassing focus the other person and what they have to say. β βSlow. It. Down. Going too fast is one of the mistakes all negotiators are prone to making. If weβre too much in a hurry, people can feel as if theyβre not being heard. You risk undermining the rapport and trust youβve built. β βPut a smile on your face. When people are in a positive frame of mind, they think more quickly, and are more likely to collaborate and problem-solve (instead of fight and resist). Positivity creates mental agility in both you and your counterpart. There are three voice tones available to negotiators: 1.βThe late-night FM DJ voice: Use selectively to make a point. Inflect your voice downward, keeping it calm and slow. When done properly, you create an aura of authority and trustworthiness without triggering defensiveness. 2.βThe positive/playful voice: Should be your default voice. Itβs the voice of an easygoing, good-natured person. Your attitude is light and encouraging. The key here is to relax and smile while youβre talking. 3.βThe direct or assertive voice: Used rarely. Will cause problems and create pushback. β βMirrors work magic. Repeat the last three words (or the critical one to three words) of what someone has just said. We fear whatβs different and are drawn to whatβs similar. Mirroring is the art of insinuating similarity, which facilitates bonding. Use mirrors to encourage the other side to empathize and bond with you, keep people talking, buy your side time to regroup, and encourage your counterparts to reveal their strategy.

Remember when one of the very few prerequisites of being a pop star would have been youth? Well, dance music seems to have taken care of that too. Look over there β the fifty-eight-year-old DJ still cranking it out. Theyβre not even off their nuts any more, half of these cretins. There you are, flying around the world, sober,

Choose to consume technology ,but donβt be consumed by it. Most of us technology have already turned us into robots .We have no signs of being humans. We are heartless, We have no feelings, no shame, no remorse, no beliefs, no respect, no guilty conscious, no life, no sympathy, no care, no time , no morals, no culture, no religion , no faith. We donβt value others people. We cyber bully others and do disguising inhuman things for trends. Pride ourselves in destroying others lives, careers, education, relationship, marriage, future. The things we do for retweets, likes and comments are shocking. Choose to be a better human being than being a Bot.
