Slowly add in the flour mix one cup at a time until about 4 and 1/2 cups have been added. Thoroughly combine between each addition of flour. (Can be done by hand or in a mixer with a dough hook.) Depending on your dough, you may not need all of the flour mixture. The rest can be used to dust your work surface. 6. When the dough has formed (it will be sticky), turn it out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth (about 10 minutes). 7. Place dough into a well greased bowl. Cover with a damp towel and allow to rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour. Dough should double in size. 8. Once doubled, punch dough down, and set aside while prepping your work area. 9. Turn dough out onto work surface and divide into three equal parts. Roll each part into a 2ft+ long ropes. Press 3 ends together and make a tight braid.
