You took my heart and you held it in your mouth
And, with a word all my love came rushing out
And, every whisper, it's the worst, emptied out by a single word
There is a hollow in me now...
And
Every whisper, every sigh
Eats away at this heart of mine
And there is a hollow in me now.

But I'm trying to hope with nothing to hold
I'm living on such sweet nothing.

A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes.
I screamed aloud, as it tore through them, and now it's left me blind.
The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out.
You left me in the dark.
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight.
In the shadow of your heart.
And in the dark, I can hear your heartbeat.
I tried to find the sound.
But then it stopped, and I was in the darkness,
So darkness I became.
I took the stars from my eyes, and then I made a map.
And knew that somehow I could find my way back.
Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too.
So I stayed in the darkness with you.

1. We fear people because they can expose and humiliate us.
2. We fear people because they can reject, ridicule, or despise us.
3. We fear people because they can attack, oppress, or threaten us. These three reasons have one thing in common: they see people as โbiggerโ (that is, more powerful and significant) than God, and, out of the fear that creates in us, we give other people the power and right to tell us what to feel, think, and do.

I didn't get to stop missing her. Ever. It was the thing that my life had handed me, and no matter how heavy it was, I was never going to be able to set it down. But that didn't mean I wasn't going to be okay. Or even happy. I couldn't imagine it yet exactly, but maybe a day would come when the hole inside me wouldn't ache quite so badly and I could think about her, and remember, and it would be all right. That day felt light-years away, but right at this moment I was standing on a tower in the middle of Tuscany and the sunrise was so beautiful that it hurt.
And that was something.

To swim inside the skin of your lover

LINA's RULES OF SCOOTER RIDING:
1. Never ride a scooter sopping wet.
2. Never ride a scooter wearing a short skirt.
3. Try to pay attention to the light signals. Otherwise, every time the driver accelerates you'll smash into him and you'll have this awkward untangling moment and then you'll worry he's thinking you're doing it on purpose.
4. If by chance you aren't abiding by rule number two, be sure to avoid eye contact with male drivers. Otherwise they'll honk enthusiastically every time your skirt flies up.

With a ribbon of fantasy around their necks
Such a beautiful bow.
That I hold in my fist
And I will not let go.

Tonight I watched the sun set at Ponte Vecchio. I think its safe to say I have finally found the place that feels right to me. I just can't believe I had to come halfway across the world to find it.

I wish to remain nameless
And live without shame
'Cause what's in a name, Oh
I still remain the same

Be careful of the curse that falls on young lovers
Starts so soft and sweet and turns them to hunters
A man who's pure of heart and says his prayers by night
May still become a wolf when the autumn moon is bright
If you could only see the beast you've made of me
I held it in but now it seems you've set it running free
The saints can't help me now, the ropes have been unbound
I hunt for you with bloody feet across the hallow'd ground

Before I could catch it, my heart slammed straight down to my feet, leaving me with a massive hole in my chest. It was amazing how I could just be going along, doing okay, and then suddenly-wham-I missed her so much even my fingernails hurt.

I hated being called quiet. People always said it like it was some kind of deficiency - like just because I didn't put everything out there right away, I was unfriendly or arrogant. My mom had understood. You may be slow to warm up, but once you do, you light up the whole room.

The final relationship that cannot be ignored is with disrupters:
They are individuals who cause trouble for sport - inciting opposition
to management for a variety of reasons, most of them petty.
Usually these people have good performance - that's their cover - and so
they are endured or appeased.
A company that manages people well takes disrupters head-on.
First they give them very tough evaluations, naming their bad behaviour
and demanding it change.
Usually it won't. Disrupters are a personality type.
If that's the case, get them out of the way of people trying to do their
jobs.
They're poison.

This is a song for a scribbled out name
And my love keeps writing again and again
This is a song for a scribbled out name
And my love keeps writing again and again
And again and again and again and again and again and again...

Then I heard your voice as clear as day,
And you told me I should concentrate,
It was all so strange,
And so surreal,
That a ghost should be so practical.
Only if for a night
And the only solution was to stand and fight,
And my body was bruised and
I was set alight,
But you came over me like some holy rite,
And although I was burning,
You're the only light
Only if for a night

Holy water cannot help you now
A thousand armies couldnโt keep me out
See, Iโve come to burn your kingdom down
Iโve come to smoke you out
Seven devils all around you
Seven devils in my house
See, I was dead when I woke up this morning,
And Iโll be dead before the day is done
And now all your love will be exorcised
And we will find your sayings to be paradox
And itโs an even sum
Itโs a symphony
Itโs a battle cry
They can keep me alive
โTil I tear the walls
โTil I slave you heart
And they take your soul
And what have we done?

It was like walking through a scene from an Italian movie. The street was lined with clothing stores and little coffee shops and restaurants, and people kept calling to one another from windows and cars. Halfway down the street a horn beeped politely and everyone cleared out of the street to make way for an entire family crowded onto a scooter. There was even a string of laundry hanging between two buildings, a billowy red housedress flapping right in the middle of it. Any second now a director was going to jump out and yell, Cut!

So you start to take pieces of your own life.
And somewhat selfishly
Other people's lives
And feed them to the song
At what cost
This wondrous creature
That becomes more precious to you
Than the people that you took from
How awful
To make human sacrifices
A late night conversation
A private thought
All placed upon the altar
But you have to satisfy the monster
The monster has loved you for longer
Than anyone else.

Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer
Thought it scarcely worth his while
To waste much time on the old violin,
But held it up with a smile.
โWhat am I bidden, good folks,โ he cried,
โWhoโll start the bidding for me?โ
โA dollar, a dollar. Then two! Only two?
Two dollars, and whoโll make it three?โ
โThree dollars, once; three dollars, twice;
Going for threeโฆโ But no,
From the room, far back, a grey-haired man
Came forward and picked up the bow;
Then wiping the dust from the old violin,
And tightening the loosened strings,
He played a melody pure and sweet,
As a caroling angel sings.
The music ceased, and the auctioneer,
With a voice that was quiet and low,
Said: โWhat am I bid for the old violin?โ
And he held it up with the bow.
โA thousand dollars, and whoโll make it two?
Two thousand! And whoโll make it three?
Three thousand, once; three thousand, twice,
And going and gone,โ said he.
The people cheered, but some of them cried,
โWe do not quite understand.
What changed its worth?โ Swift came the reply:
โThe touch of the Masterโs hand.โ
And many a man with life out of tune,
And battered and scarred with sin,
Is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd
Much like the old violin.
A โmess of pottage,โ a glass of wine,
A game โ and he travels on.
He is โgoingโ once, and โgoingโ twice,
Heโs โgoingโ and almost โgone.โ
But the Master comes, and the foolish crowd
Never can quite understand
The worth of a soul and the change that is wrought
By the touch of the Masterโs hand.
