The “Pizza Killing,” as it was dubbed, even sounded like a mob movie or an episode of The Sopranos, with everything except a theme song. Edward Potcher, 37, owned Jack’s Pizzeria at the corner of Springfield and Boyden avenues in Maplewood when he was shot four times at close range on August 12, 1986, in the pizzeria. He died just hours later.
