Roza." His voice had that same wonderful lowness, the same accent . . . it was all just colder. "You forgot my first lesson: Don’t hesitate.
Richelle Mead (Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4))
You've always been my equal, Roza.
Richelle Mead (Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6))
The spell. Victor said you had to want me... to care about me... for it to work." When he didn't say anything, I tried to grip his shirt, but my fingers were too weak. "Did you? Did you want me?" His words came out thickly. "Yes, Roza. I did want you. I still do. I wish... we could be together." "Then why did you lie to me?" We reached the clinic, and he managed to open the door while still holding me. As soon as he stepped inside, he began yelling for help. "Why did you lie?" I murmured again. Still holding me in his arms, he looked down at me. I could hear voices and footsteps getting closer. "Because we can't be together." "Because of the age thing, right?" I asked. "Because you're my mentor?" His fingertip gently wiped away a tear that had escaped down my cheek. "That's part of it," he said. "But also... well, you and I will both be Lissa's gaurdians someday. I need to protect her at all cost. If a pack of Strogoi come, I need to throw my body between them and her." I know that. Of course that's what you have to do." The black sparkles were dancing in front of my eyes again. I was fading out. "No. If I let myself love you, I won't throw myself in front of her. I'll throw myself in front of you.
Richelle Mead (Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1))
Did you mean it... that if Victor did tell...that you'd..." I couldn't finish. I couldn't bring myself to say the words have him killed. "I don't have much influence in the upper levels of Moroi royalty, but I have plenty among the guardians who handle the dirty work in our world." "You didn't answer the question. If you'd really do it." "I'd do a lot of things to protect you, Roza.
Richelle Mead (Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3))
Rose. Roza. Open your eyes." I've never heard heard his voice so strained, so frantic. "Don't go to sleep on me. Not yet.
Richelle Mead (Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1))
I love you, Roza." He kissed me again. "I'll always be here for you. I'm not going to let anything happen to you." The words were wonderful and dangerous. He shouldn't have said anything like that to me. He shouldn't have been promising he'd protect me, not when he was supposed to dedicate his life to protecting Moroi like Lissa. I couldn't be first in his heart, just like he couldn't be first in mine. That was why I shouldn't have said what I said next-but I did anyway. "And I won't let anything happen to you," I promised. "I love you." He kissed me again, swallowing off any other words I might have added.
Richelle Mead (Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3))
Roza, my self-control is ten times stronger than yours." I opened my eyes, shifting to look into his. I brushed his hair back and smiled, certain my heart would expand and expand until there was nothing left of me. "Oh yeah? That's not the impression I just got." "Wait until next time," he warned. "I'll do things that'll make you lose control within seconds.
Richelle Mead (Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6))
Dont worry, Roza, I'm not afraid. I'll take whatever heat they give me over being with you. It's worth it.
Richelle Mead (Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6))
No, no. It's always a good time for you to call, Roza.
Richelle Mead (The Golden Lily (Bloodlines, #2))
Rose: "If you'd teach me to swear in Russian, I might have a new appreciation for it."Dimitri: "You swear too much already."Rose: "I just want to express myself."Dimitri: "Oh, Roza… You express yourself more than anyone else I know."- Rose Hathaway & Dimitri Belikov (Frostbite)
Richelle Mead (Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2))
I'll see you later Roza." "At our next practice?" I asked. "We are starting those up again, right? I mean you still have things to teach me." Standing in the doorway, he looked over at me and smiled. "Yes. Lots of things.
Richelle Mead (Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2))
Abe held my gaze a bit longer and then broke into an easy smile. ʺOf course, of course. This is a family gathering. A celebration. And look: hereʹs our newest member.ʺ Dimitri had joined us and wore black and white like my mother and me. He stood beside me, conspicuously not touching. ʺMr. Mazur,ʺ he said formally, nodding a greeting to both of them. ʺGuardian Hathaway.ʺ Dimitri was seven years older than me, but right then, facing my parents, he looked like he was sixteen and about to pick me up for a date. ʺAh, Belikov,ʺ said Abe, shaking Dimitriʹs hand. ʺIʹd been hoping weʹd run into each other. Iʹd really like to get to know you better. Maybe we can set aside some time to talk, learn more about life, love, et cetera. Do you like to hunt? You seem like a hunting man. Thatʹs what we should do sometime. I know a great spot in the woods. Far, far away. We could make a day of it. Iʹve certainly got a lot of questions Iʹd like to ask you. A lot of things Iʹd like to tell you too.ʺ I shot a panicked look at my mother, silently begging her to stop this. Abe had spent a good deal of time talking to Adrian when we dated, explaining in vivid and gruesome detail exactly how Abe expected his daughter to be treated. I did not want Abe taking Dimitri off alone into the wilderness, especially if firearms were involved. ʺActually,ʺ said my mom casually. ʺIʹd like to come along. I also have a number of questions—especially about when you two were back at St. Vladimirʹs.ʺ ʺDonʹt you guys have somewhere to be?ʺ I asked hastily. ʺWeʹre about to start.ʺ That, at least, was true. Nearly everyone was in formation, and the crowd was quieting. ʺOf course,ʺ said Abe. To my astonishment, he brushed a kiss over my forehead before stepping away. ʺIʹm glad youʹre back.ʺ Then, with a wink, he said to Dimitri: ʺLooking forward to our chat.ʺ ʺRun,ʺ I said when they were gone. ʺIf you slip out now, maybe they wonʹt notice. Go back to Siberia." "Actually," said Dimitri, "I'm pretty sure Abe would notice. Don't worry, Roza. I'm not afraid. I'll take whatever heat they give me over being with you. It's worth it.
Richelle Mead (Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6))
Rose Hathaway: "Was he right?” Dimitri Belikov: "Who?” Rose Hathaway: "Victor…he said it couldn't have worked. The necklace.” Dimitri Belikov: "What do you mean?” Rose Hathaway: "The spell. Victor said you had to want me…to care about me…for it to work. Did you? Did you want me?” Dimitri Belikov: "Yes, Roza. I did want you. I still do. I wish…we could be together.” (Vampire Academy)
Richelle Mead (Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1))
You're beautiful, Roza. So beautiful it hurts me.
Richelle Mead (Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6))
I haven’t even really tried to win you over, Roza. When I want to, I can be very persuasive.
Richelle Mead
Okay,' I said quietly. 'I'll do whatever you say. Just remember not to talk down to me. I'm not your student anymore. I'm your equal now.' He glanced away from the side of the road just long enough to give me a surprised look. 'You've always been my equal, Roza.
Richelle Mead (Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6))
Yet, it had been Dimitri’s gentleness and thoughtfulness mixed with that deadliness that made him so wonderful. The same hands that wielded stakes with such precision would carefully brush the hair out of my face. The eyes that could astutely spot any danger in the area would regard me wonderingly and worshipfully, like I was the most beautiful and amazing woman in the world.
Richelle Mead (Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4))
Roza..." The voice caressed my skin, cold and deadly. Still scrutinizing his surroundings, Dimitri took one step forward. Then another. And then another. I think it occurred to him to look up the instant I jumped. My body slammed into his, knocking him to the ground back first. He immediately tried to throw me off, just as I tried to drive the stake through his heart. Signs of fatigue and fighting were all over him. Defeating the other Strigoi had taken its toll, though I doubted I was in much better shape. We grappled, and once, I managed to rake the stake over his cheek. He snarled in pain but kept his chest well protected. Over it, I could see where I'd ripped his shirt the first time I'd staked him. The wound had already healed. "You. Are. Amazing," he said, his words full of both pride and battle fury.
Richelle Mead (Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4))
Richelle Mead (Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3))
I wished the kiss could have gone on forever. Breaking the embrace, he ran a few fingers through my hair and down my cheek. He stepped back toward the door. "I'll see you later, Roza" "At our next practice?" I asked. "We are starting those up again, right? I mean, you still have things to teach me." "Yes. Lots of things.
Richelle Mead (Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2))
We had just paid the check when Dimitri's cell phone rang. "Hello?" he answered. And like that, his face transformed. That fierceness I so associated with him softened, and he practically glowed. "No, no. It's always a good time for you to call, Roza." Whatever the response on the other end was, it made him smile.
Richelle Mead (The Golden Lily (Bloodlines, #2))
Roza. You forgot my first lesson: Don’t hesitate.”- Dimitri Belikov (Blood Promise)
Richelle Mead (Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4))
You see something you like?" I asked, echoing something I'd said to him ling ago, when he'd caught me in a compromising position at school. "Lots," he said. -Rose (Roza) to Dimitri
Richelle Mead (Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6))
You act young," he said, "because you are young. But you know things, Roza. Things people older than you don't even know. That day...." I knew instantly which day he referred to. The one up against the wall. "You were right, about how I fight to stay in control. No one else has ever figured that out- and it scared me. You scare me." "Why? Don't you want anyone to know?" He shrugged. "Whether they know that fact or not doesn't matter. What matters is that someone- that you- know me that well. When a person can see into your soul, it's hard. It forces you to be open. Vulnerable. It's much easier being with someone who's just more of a casual friend." "Like Tasha." "Tasha Ozera is an amazing woman. She's beautiful and she's brave. But she doesn't-" "She doesn't get you," I finished. He nodded. "I knew that. But I still wanted the relationship. I knew it would be easy and that she could take me away from you. I thought she could make me forget you." I'd thought the same thing about Mason. "But she couldn't." "Yes. And, so.....that's a problem.
Richelle Mead (Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2))
I couldn't. I just needed a few more seconds, a few more seconds to drink him in before I killed him. And that's when he spoke. "Roza." His voice had that same wonderful lowness, the same accent.. it was all just colder. "You forgot my first lesson: don't hesitate." I just barely saw his fist striking out toward my head.. and then I saw nothing at all.
Richelle Mead (Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4))

Richelle Mead (Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6))
Yes, Roza. I did want you. I still do. I wish... we could be together. -Dimitri to Rose on their relationship
Richelle Mead (Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1))
I knew him instantly, even though he'd...changed. I think in a crowd of a million people, I would have recognized him. The connection between us would allow nothing else. And after being deprived of him for so long, I drank in every feature. The dark, chin-length hair, worn loose tonight and curling slightly around his face. The familiar set of lips, quirked now in an amused yet chilling smile. He even wore the duster he always wore, the long leather coat that could have come straight out of a cowboy movie. [...] The eyes. Oh God, the eyes. Even with that sickening red ring around his pupils, his eyes still reminded me of the Dimitri I'd known. The look in his eyes—the soulless, malicious gleam—that was nothing like him. But there was just enough resemblance to stir my heart, to overwhelm my senses and feelings. My stake was ready. All I had to do was keep swinging to make the kill. I had momentum on my side... But I couldn't. I just needed a few more seconds, a few more seconds to drink him in before I killed him. And that's when he spoke. "Roza." His voice had the same wonderful lowness, the same accent...it was just colder. "You forgot my first lesson: Don't hesitate.
Richelle Mead (Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4))
I eyed Dimitri, recalling a shadow in my periphery back in the ballroom. "You followed when I jumped in front of Lissa, didn't you? Who were you going for? Me or her?" He studied me for several long seconds. He could have lied. He could have given the easy answer by saying he'd intended to push both of us out of the way-if that was even possible, which I didn't recall. But Dimitri didn't lie. "I don't know, Roza. I don't know.
Richelle Mead (Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6))

Roza, you forgot my first lesson: Don't hesitate. - Dimitri to Rose
Richelle Mead (Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4))
You did good Roza. Very good. Now sleep.
Richelle Mead

Richelle Mead (Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4))
I want you because... My heart needs you. I just want you, Roza. We belong together
Richelle Mead (Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1-5))
Roza, my self-control is ten times stronger than yours." I opened my eyes, shifting to look into his. Richelle Mead (Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6))
I'd said it before and meant it: Alive or undead, the love of my life was a badass. -Rose, Blood Promise Dimitri:I'd do a lot of things to protect you Roza" Dimitri: "What i say in an entire paragraph you can say in three words" "I set off, off to kill the man I loved" - Rose Hathaway •We try to do what’s right, or rather, what others say is right. But sometimes, when that goes against who we are…you have to choose…. I realized how much you meant to me. It changed everything… And it became useless to try to act like I could ever put any Moroi life above yours. It’s not going to happen, no matter how wrong others say it is. And so I decided that’s something I have to deal with. Once I made that decision … there was nothing to hold us back. – Dimitri •You’re strong-you’re so, so strong. It’s why I love you. – Dimitri
Richelle Mead
It's not over, Roza. Do you really think there's anywhere in the World where I can't find you?
Richelle Mead (Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, #5))
At thirteen I learned from Roza's stolen book that girls don't have to be sweet little creatures, that they could in fact be angry and dark and sexual.
Julia Bartz (The Writing Retreat)
People say the word 'nice' and they mean 'boring.' A lot of times nice is boring. But that's not what I mean. Roza was nice and not boring at all.
Laura Ruby (Bone Gap)
He preferred her barefoot, he said. She had such lovely feet. Roza didn’t agree. What was lovely about feet that could not take you anywhere? What was lovely about feet that could not run?
Laura Ruby (Bone Gap)
We aren't fighting right now." I blurted out. He gave me a sidelong look. "Do you want to fight?" "No. I hate fighting with you. Verbally, I mean. I don't mind in the gym." I thought I detected the hint of a smile. Always a half-smile for me. Rarely a full one. "I don't like fighting with you either." Sitting next to him there, I marveled at the warm and happy emotions springing up inside me. There was something about being around him that felt so good, that moved me in a way Mason couldn't. You can't force love, I realized, It's there or it isn't. If it's not there, you've got to be able to admit it. If it is there, you've got to do whatever it takes to protect the ones you love. The next words that came out of my mouth astonished me, both because they were completely unselfish and because I actually meant them. "You should take it." He flinched. "What?" "Tasha's offer. You should take her up on it. It's a really great chance." I remembered my mom's words about being ready for children. I wasn't. Maybe she hadn't been. But Tasha was. And I knew Dimitri was too. They got along really well. He could go be her guardian, have some kids with her...it would be a good deal for both of them. "I never expected to hear you say anything like that," he told me, voice tight. "Especially after-" "What a bitch I've been? Yeah." I tugged his coat tighter against the cold. It smelled like him. It was intoxicating, and I could half-imagine being wrapped in his embrace. Adrian might have been onto something about the power of scent. "Well. Like I said, I don't want to fight anymore. I don't want us to hate each other. And...well..." I squeezed my eyes shut and then opened them. "No matter how I feel about us...I want you to be happy." Silence yet again. I noticed then that my chest hurt. Dimitri reached out and put his arm around me. He pulled me to him, and I rested my head on his chest. "Roza," was all he said. It was the first time he'd really touched me since the night of the lust charm. The practice room had been something different...more animal. This wasn't even about sex. It was just about being close to someone you cared about, about the emotion that kind of connection flooded you with. Dimitri might run off with Tasha, but I would still love him. I would probably always love him. I cared about Mason. But I would probably never love him. I sighed into Dimitri, just wishing I could stay like that forever. It felt right being with him. And-no matter how much the thought of him and Tasha made me ache-doing what was best for him felt right. Now, I knew, it was time to stop being a coward and do something else that was right. Mason had said I needed to learn something about myself. I just had. Reluctantly, I pulled away and handed Dimitri his coat. I stood up. He regarded me curiously, sensing my unease. "Where you going?" he asked. "To break someone's heart," I replied. I admired Dimitri for a heartbeat more-the dark, knowing eyes and silken hair. The I headed inside. I had to apologize to Mason...and tell him there'd never be anything between us.
Richelle Mead (Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2))
Roza didn’t want to go, and she made the woman promise to let her ride the horse again. It was apparently called “Russia” because it was very big, a complete liability, and always going where it wasn’t wanted.
Raudzah ''Roza'' Roslan (Travelog Cinta Abadi)
Did you pick that out?“ I asked Dimitri. Honestly, I would have expected him to bend a piece of steel it his bare hands and present her with that. “He did,” said Rose, her normal good humor returning. “He kept telling me that once I turned twenty, it was just a matter of time before he proposed. I told him if he did, he better make it a rock star ring – nothing subtle.” “That’s pretty rock star,” said Eddie. “How long ago did this happen?” “About a month,” said Dimitri. “I got her to war it but can’t get her to set a date.” She grinned. “All in good time, comrade. Maybe when I’m thirty. There’s no hurry. Besides, surely Christian’s going to propose to Liss one of these days. We don’t want to overshadow them.” Dimitri shook his head in exasperation, but he kept smiling. “You’ve always got an excuse, Roza. One of these days…” “One of these days,” she agreed.
Richelle Mead (The Ruby Circle (Bloodlines, #6))
I love you Roza spoken by Dimitri to rose in the book Spirt Bound
Richelle Mead
Roza...You forgot my first lesson: Don’t hesitate.
Richelle Mead (Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4))
Gayle Forman (Just One Day (Just One Day, #1))
Sally Rooney (Normal People)
I’ll only kneel before you, moya Malen'kaya Roza. You have the power of the bratva and the Priesthood behind you. Never hesitate to use it if you find yourself in trouble.
Michelle Heard (Captured by a Sinner (Sinners, #5))
Rus, dancing alongside Roza like a monstrous, bedraggled pony.
Laura Ruby (Bone Gap)
Oscar Wilde (De Profundis)
They were better, even angry Honorata. Roza could have been any of them, every one of them. The story hadn’t changed. Only the costumes. Only the players.
Laura Ruby (Bone Gap)
Mackenzi Lee (The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue (Montague Siblings, #1))
Gavriel sat stock-still. Inside him roiled such turmoil that he feared that should he move, he would smash every piece of furniture in the room, crack every pane of every window, until there was nothing but shining splinters where the parlor had been. Instead, he leaned back his head and laughed, a long, cruel laugh that did not seem to belong to the boy Roza had known. It blazed up from deep inside him, from some embers he’d always been careful never to stoke.
Holly Black (The Coldest Girl in Coldtown)
the belief in one God; namaz, or prayers five times a day; giving zakat, or alms;  roza, fasting from dawn till sunset during the month of Ramadan; and Haj, the pilgrimage to Mecca, which every able-bodied Muslim should do once in their lifetime.
Malala Yousafzai (I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban)
Okay,' I said quietly. 'I'll do whatever you say. Just remember not to talk down to me. I'm not your student anymore. I'm your equal now.' He glanced away from the side of the road just long enough to give me a surprised look. 'You've always been my equal, Roza.

―Bueno ―dije en voz baja―. Haré lo que digas. Sólo recuerda no hablarme de forma condescendiente ahora. No soy una estudiante más. Soy tu igual ahora. ―Tú siempre has sido mi igual, Roza. • capítulo 5
Richelle Mead (Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6))
¡Abran!
Jean-Paul Sartre (a porte chiuse)
The spell. Victor said you had to want me... to care about me... for it to work. Did you? Did you want me?" "Yes, Roza. I did want you. I still do. I wish... we could be together." "That's part of it, But also... well, you and I will both be Lissa's gaurdians someday. I need to protect her at all cost. If a pack of Strogoi come, I need to throw my body between them and her." Richelle Mead (Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1))

Just implementing technology alone does not produce a digital transformation. Changing an organization by taking advantage of the potential of technologies does.
(...) Lo he visto. A veces... solo quiero verlo, verte despertar
Veronica Roth (Divergent (Divergent, #1))
Despite the pain and the blood, Roza took in the icy-eyed man's expression of frozen, stony horror and reveled in it, delighted in it. It was delicious, his horror. She wanted to see it up close. She wanted to eat it.

And then, as I sat there, the true reality hit, clubbing me in the back of the head. I was going to Roza Vallo’s monthlong writing retreat with a killer case of writer’s block.
Julia Bartz (The Writing Retreat)
What?" Finn remembered sitting at the kitchen table with Sean, both of them trying to say the world "table" in Polish. Roza had said, "You have tongue like cow!" and laughed and laughed. "What?" Sean said again. He had tongue like cow, he had mind like cow. Dull, wordless.

Luego me desea físicamente.

His words came out thickly. “Yes, Roza. I did want you. I still do. I wish . . . we could be together.” “Then why did you lie to me?” We reached the clinic, and he managed to open the door while still holding me. As soon as he stepped inside, he began yelling for help. “Why did you lie?” I murmured again. Still holding me in his arms, he looked down at me. I could hear voices and footsteps getting closer. “Because we can’t be together.” “Because of the age thing, right?” I asked. “Because you’re my mentor?” His fingertip gently wiped away a tear that had escaped down my cheek. “That’s part of it,” he said. “But also . . . well, you and I will both be Lissa’s guardians someday. I need to protect her at all costs. If a pack of Strigoi come, I need to throw my body between them and her.” “I know that. Of course that’s what you have to do.” The black sparkles were dancing in front of my eyes again. I was fading out. “No. If I let myself love you, I won’t throw myself in front of her. I’ll throw myself in front of you.” The

Suncho sale disparado a ladrarles a unas gaviotas.

Me arrastra hacia abajo.

Alhamdulillah. Terima kasih wahai saudaraku sesama Islam. Tahukah kamu.. betapa beruntungnya orang Malaysia, Singapure dan Indonesia? Kamu datang sejauh 8,000 kilometer lalu dibenarkan sujud solat di sini. Tahukah kamu.. betapa ramai rakan-rakan saudara kita jarak tempat tinggalnya hanya lima hingga sembilan kilometer, tetapi dihalang untuk datang ke sini. Terima kasih wahai saudaraku.. kerana membantu kami memenuhkan saf-saf di Aqsa. Sesungguhnya Baitul Maqdis milik kita umat Islam!

Roza…” Melina whispered, nervously. I ignored her as I reached out to touch the sphere— The next thing I knew, my back slammed against the floor. My breath hit me like a stone crashing down on my chest. And my skin was burning, burning, burning, so intensely that I had to bite down hard to keep from letting out a cry. My skin. My hand. “Roza!” Melina fell to her knees beside me. Long seconds, and the pain subsided to a tolerable throb. I forced my eyes open and bit back a gasp. Gold covered my fingertips, reaching down over my palm in organic shapes that looked like the veins of a leaf. The strokes were slightly raised, and my skin clung to the edges, irritated where the gold met my flesh. This wasn’t on me. This was in me. I lifted my eyes to the box on the table. It was now empty. Oh, gods. I looked at the gold spreading across my palm with renewed horror. This thing—this was the artifact. Melina made a strangled sound of panic and suddenly pulled away from me. It took me a moment to realize why. I had been so preoccupied with the gold that I hadn’t realized what it was covering: my skin. My normal, Fragmented skin. The illusion was gone. Melina turned to the door, presumably to get help. I moved faster. I leapt to my feet, grabbed her, and pressed my hand to her mouth. “Don’t move,” I hissed. “I am one of you.” Her back was against me, my arm firmly around her shoulders to keep her from moving. I could not see her face, but I felt her trembling. “I am Tisaanah Vytezic,” I whispered. “Do you know that name?” A pause. Then a small nod.

—pregunto. —Apoyad vuestros chupitos. Quien no apoya, no folla. —Quien no roza, no goza.

And these were just the main-stem dams. As they were going up, the Columbia tributaries were also being chinked full of dams. Libby Dam on the Kootenai River. Roza’s familiar smiling face answered the door in her housedress, pulling Gina into a hug before she could say anything, her wrinkled pale hands cool but strong from years of kneading dough and wrangling small children. As cool as her hands were, she was always warm, like her enormous heart could heat the entire world.
Amy E. Reichert (The Optimist's Guide to Letting Go)
Jules Michelet (Satanism and Witchcraft: The Classic Study of Medieval Superstition)
