A horoscope is a specific map, or picture, of the heavens that is cast for the date, time, and location of your birth. The positions of the sun, moon, and planets, as well as the sign that hovers at the horizon, are all placed around the wheel of the zodiac to reveal the intricate mathematical relationships that portray your personal blueprint and potential for development. This map can reveal your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual gifts and challenges, and you are always free to grow and change, according to your own volition. Also noteworthy are the nodal points, or the locations where the path of Earth and the path of the moon intersect, forming what is known as the “head and tail of the sky dragon,” or the north and south nodes. The location of the celestial dragon in a chart is of utmost importance, for it indicates the direction in which you are moving to achieve the fulfillment of your personal destiny, as well as the place in the past that you are emerging from. Once you are born into physical reality, you unfold your life within an imprint of cosmic energy that embodies a plan of intent and purpose, a plan designed and approved by you. Throughout

You tore that rift up north,” you breathe. Your hands are clenching into fists. You split the continent. You started this Season! With the obelisks! You did…all of that.” “Yes, with the obelisks, and with the aid of the node maintainers. They’re all at peace now.” He exhales, wheezily. “I need your help.” You shake your head automatically, but not in refusal. “To fix it?” “Oh no, Syen.” You don’t bother to correct him this time. You can’t take your eyes from his amused, nearly skeletal face. When he speaks, you notice that some of his teeth have turned to stone, too. How many of his organs have done the same? How much longer can he—should he— live like this? “I don’t want you to fix it,” Alabaster says. “It was collateral damage, but Yumenes got what it deserved. No, what I want you to do, my Damaya, my Syenite, my Essun, is make it worse.

After a night of poison, your brain wakes up in the morning saying, "No, I don't give a shit who introduced the sweet potato into North America." The damage that you have inflicted heals over, and the scarred places left behind have unusual surface areas, roughnesses enough to become the nodes around which wisdom weaves its fibrils.

How joyful to be together, alone as when we first were joined in our little house by the stream long ago, except that now we know each other, as we did not then and now instead of two stories fumbling to meet, we belong to one story that the two, joining, made. And now we touch each other with the tenderness of mortals, who know themselves; how joyful to feel the heart quake at the sight of you old friend in the morning light, beautiful in your night robe!

In this lifetime, Aries North Node people are developing single-mindedness. Rather than weigh everything before making a choice, they are learning the value of following their initial impulse—just to see where it goes! It’s fine for them to make a decision based on their spontaneous sense of inner excitement, and then put the full force of their intellect into implementing it. It’s an experiment. Later on, if they lose a feeling of “rightness” about it and something else excites them, they can responsibly tie up the loose ends and go on to the next thing. This is a lifetime of new beginnings for them, so it’s natural that many decisions they make will be subject to change.

Actually, when the dark within them arises, it’s a good sign. It is the neglected part of themselves demanding attention. When they turn within and begin consciously loving themselves, noticing their own beauty and taking care of themselves, the demons melt away. Thus, Aries North Node people need to regularly take time to focus on themselves and see what they need to do to support themselves. Then they will be able to interact with others from a place of internal strength and harmony.
Jan Spiller (Astrology for the Soul)
Having spent many past incarnations being the support system for others, Aries North Node people developed a constant openness to others’ identities. They intentionally remained aware of the other person and could sense the slightest unhappiness or disharmony in that person’s mood. When they focused on keeping the partner’s mood happy, they shared in that mood and remained happy themselves. Although this worked well in past lives, in this incarnation another person’s happiness is not enough to evoke true happiness in these folks. They don’t have enough personal identity left in their “battery” to hold the “charge” from the other person. To be deeply happy in this lifetime, they must focus on developing their own identity and recharging their own battery.

On an astrological chart, the tikkun is called the lunar node. Lunar, of course, refers to the moon, which is very important in Kabbalah because it represents the Desire to Receive. The lunar node is made up of two diametrically opposed poles: the south node and the north node.
Rav Berg (Kabbalistic Astrology: And The Meaning of Our Lives)
The south node describes all the baggage that we’ve brought along from previous lives. The north node describes the path or the correction to take in our present life.

I do not desire to offend anyone; this is my observation, which goes against the beliefs of the astrologers of this world. It is my belief that we are born with the desire to experience Rahu, the North Node. However, due to our past karma and unfinished obligations from the past lives, we end up living and experiencing that which is represented by Ketu, the South Node. Through this purpose, we are forced to learn to be completely detached from our earthly desires which are represented by Rahu, the North Node. Then once we have totally surrendered to Ketu, the South Node, and served all of our past karmas, we then gain the true liberation. And if when the past karma and obligations have been paid off, we are still in our bodies, we then finally get to experience Rahu, the North Node. With that insight, I think that we ought not to seek our Rahu, the North Node, but to fulfill all the past obligations which have been given to us through Ketu, the South Node.

Ketu the South Node is what we are here to do. Rahu the North Node is what we desire to do. Ketu is what we failed to do in the past lives. And we are back to abide by those unserved obligations.

In spite of the fact that these folks have a strong ability to understand others, they often do not truly listen to what the other person is saying. They get so distracted by sharing their own predetermined point of view, or by what they want the other person to think of them, that there is no true communication or mutual growth.
