I do wish, however, that Ms. Olson would give me some credit for the progress I’ve already made. In 1944, I filed my first 1040, reporting my income as a thirteen-year-old newspaper carrier. The return covered three pages. After I claimed the appropriate business deductions, such as $35 for a bicycle, my tax bill was $7. I sent my check to the Treasury and it — without comment — promptly cashed it. We lived in peace.

Shocks and Joys" The biggest shocks in life were: That freedom is a lie Choosing chains carefully is more important than chasing illusions… That family and relatives are but a hit or miss biological coincidence… That life isn’t short as they claim for those who understand the game… That there is no friend in need, but indeed, need is the only constant friend… The biggest joys in life were: The smell of a freshly baked loaf of bread A sip of water The depth of a word The taste of a fresh fig The silence and tunes of nature The unexpected scent of a rose that tickles the nose after having fallen in the abyss of despair… [Original poem published in Arabic on March 9, 2023 at ahewar.org]

An Apple A Day, Keeps Death Away by Stewart Stafford Death came knocking at my door, He said he’d come to claim my soul, I said I wasn’t ready yet, And asked him for an hour or so. "Death waits for no man!" it roared, Adding that my time was up, The Reaper said we were leaving, And that I was such a cheeky pup. I asked if he'd like an apple for the trip, And gestured to my magic tree, "Aye," he said, reaching up, His hand stuck to it, to my glee. "What trick is this?" Death howled, "Free me, I demand, this instant!" "Lift my death sentence first," I said, "Never! Taking life is a constant!" "Use your other hand to free yourself." He tried until both hands became stuck, "Let me live, and you may go," I said, "Agreed!" Death vanished. What good luck! An apple a day keeps Death away, But in the long run, you'll have to pay, Unless you have a magic tree - A new lease on life, briefly. © Stewart Stafford, 2023. All rights reserved.

I want to share a story with anyone else going through a genital herpes infection. I was embarrassed about my condition, and thus the pixilation in the comments. After dating a guy back in 2023, I discovered what i thought was a case of the flu, but my doctor told me I had contacted Herpes Simplex. My boyfriend also had it, and had transmitted the infection to me, He claimed to be clueless about it. I developed a rash around my genital area, and then i later split up with him, now ex-boyfriend. After getting over the breakup, I became more objective about my condition, and started looking for a cure to rid it of this infection. I became disaffected with conventional treatments, in that you have to take some large pills every day, or large doses of antiviral medicine every time you feel another rash is developing. This is an awkward and ineffective way to rid an infection. Then my friend, also a herpes sufferer, confided she had found a cure to rid her infection, which she had found a herbal doctor whose is name is Dr Uwawa "Get Rid of Herpes.” The treatment in the delivered to her worked for both of them. In conclusion, I Bernard asks that if you too are suffering in silence, I endure getting Dr Uwawa herbal medication. To get to him through email, uwawherbalhome@gmail.com

Winterland by Stewart Stafford Obelisk columns of a wintry afternoon, Bony fingers of nascent green in June, Pink snow clouds kissed by fading sun, Dark gold streets, hurry home as one. Shared body heat tenderises life so tough, Fusion shelter from gales so rough, Windows scream, a voyeur's peek inside, Lovers dismissed with wailing to chide. Darkness claims stragglers of day, Wrestles all an eye sees, stealing it away, Sleep whispers drowsy promises in our ears, We two, melding - strangers from our fears. © Stewart Stafford, 2023. My Angel Sleeps by Stewart Stafford My angel sleeps, do not disturb, Painless and gorgeous in repose, In resting flight, I still see her, Her embryonic features now froze. Many times, she called me father, And hastened me to her side, Entwined as one, no one to part us, Now, the earth's youthful bride. Let me cast more soil upon you, To soften your final resting place, My heart's core I leave with you, To claim back when face to face. © Stewart Stafford, 2023. All rights reserved.

I knew exactly what was going on, but I unfortunately didn't have a firearm. (Adam have most likely offered someone 6000 Euros, to end this all, then and there. Tomas. 10%) Only a mini baseball bat. A Louisville Slugger. And Martina’s weapon of choice: a broom. The witches’ vehicle. Before I could tell him to go to Hell, a neighbor exited the building and let the stranger claiming to be from the gas company inside. Now the stranger dressed in black was running up the 94 stairs. I could hear his footsteps approaching. I didn't have time to react, grab the biggest knife from the kitchen, and stand by my entrance door. He was already upstairs, right outside my apartment door. He began knocking loudly and aggressively, whether with his metal ring or a lighter. I looked through the peephole, but he had covered it with a black folder, which I soon realized was an iPad. Covering his face. Covering my eyes. The same speech repeated played through the iPad, ensuring that I wouldn't recognize his voice and open the door. „I am from the gas company, looking for Tomas Adam Nyapi.” He kept playing in a prerecorded voice on the iPad outside my door, "Open up", "It's the gas company", and "We are looking for Tomas Adam Nyapi." I was trying to pay attention and make sense of it all, trying to figure out who it could be. But the Catalan girl couldn't keep quiet and yelled at the person in Spanish with her strong Catalan accent, after a minute or two: "Who are you and what do you want? Go away before I call the police!" Suddenly, the stranger began sprinting down the 94 stairs upon realizing that I wasn't alone. In case the reason for his visit wasn't clear enough. He was running so fast that he nearly stumbled, clearly determined to prevent me from catching up with him. I swung open my door and peered down the stairwell, straining my eyes to discern his identity, but the darkness obscured any details in the vertical tunnel below. By the time he reached the bottom of the stairs, I hurried to my loggia to catch a glimpse of him. He was tall and thin, with long legs, and his strides were hurried and distinct, unlike anyone else. Deep inside, I knew it was Mario Larese. Mister Twister. I recognized his movements, but it wasn't until 2023 that I had concrete confirmation. An evidence orgy. Mario had been sent to either spy on me or seek revenge for my closure of the club, with him being responsible for triggering the landslide, the avalanche. The mafia had dispatched Mario to finish what he/they had started. With Adam and the rest of them. Mario. Adam. Nico. Ferran. „The Beatles.” „Plus Yoko.” The Nazi junkies had sent him to deliver the final blow, the fatal shot, the kill. It was Mario who was accountable - the thief, the liar, the "Romanian gypsy." To deliver „The Final Solution”, to sever ties. And keep that 60,000 as well of course. Shortly after the stranger (Mario) had left our address Martina called me on the phone.

I asked Zuckerberg what he planned to do about that. He said, "But we don't allow anyone under 13 to open an account." I told him that before our call I had created a fake account for a fictional 13-year-old girl and I encountered no attempt to verify my age claim. He said, "We're working on that." While writing this chapter (in August 2023), I effortlessly created another fake account. There is still no age verification, even though age verification techniques have gotten much better in the last four years nor is there any disincentive for preteens to lie about their age.

1. The Defendant, DONALD J. TRUMP, was the forty-fifth President of the United States and a candidate for re-election in 2020. The Defendant lost the 2020 presidential election. 2. Despite having lost, the Defendant was determined to remain in power. So for more than two months following election day on November 3, 2020, the Defendant spread lies that there had been outcome-determinative fraud in the election and that he had actually won. These claims were false, and the Defendant knew that they were false. But the Defendant repeated and widely disseminated them anyway-to make his knowingly false claims appear legitimate, create an intense national atmosphere of mistrust and anger, and erode public faith in the administration of the election.

As seen in this verse, the community of Israel was not passive in this situation, and found the rape to be unacceptable. It may be argued that only the Israelite community intended to resist the rape instead of God himself, but Judges chapter 20 contradicts that claim; in Judges chapter 20, the other 11 tribes of Israel sent a message to the tribe of Benjamin, asking the tribe to turn in the men who committed the rape. When the Bejamites refused to listen to the request [Judges 20:13], God himself desired for the other 11 tribes to fight against Benjamin due to the denial of this request, as seen in Judges 20:23: “They [the other tribes of Israel] said, ‘Shall we go up again to fight against Benjamin, our fellow Israelites?’ The LORD answered, ‘Go up against them.’” With this, God definitely did not approve Benjamin’s inability to listen to the tribes’ request, which means that he cannot have approved of this rape.

Marc Andreessen, founder of major venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, echoed Musk’s concern on far-right darling Joe Rogan’s podcast, remarking: “Right now there’s a movement afoot among the elites in our country that basically says anybody having kids is a bad idea . . . because of climate.” Andreessen pushed against this39, suggesting that elites from “developed societies” ought to be having more children. In a long, rambling blog post published in October 2023 titled “The Techno-Optimist Manifesto”, Andreessen echoed Musk40, tying “growth” with a natalist dream: There are only three sources of growth: population growth, natural resource utilization, and technology. Developed societies are depopulating all over the world, across cultures—the total human population may already be shrinking. . . . Our enemy is deceleration, de-growth, depopulation—the nihilistic wish, so trendy among our elites, for fewer people, less energy, and more suffering and death. Sounding the alarm that “developed societies” are “depopulating” is coded language for “white, Western countries are not having enough babies.” Andreessen’s “techno-optimism” is explicitly embedded in a positive eugenic project. Musk and Andreessen are more than happy to support those who make more explicitly eugenic claims. New York Times journalist Jamelle Bouie writes41 of their fiscal support of Richard Hanania, a right-wing political scientist who has expressed explicit support of sterilization of those with low IQs and warned against “race-mixing.

The reality of housing development doesn’t track along such neat ideological lines. Kuttner says that eliminating zoning restrictions and making it easier to build multifamily housing would make only a modest difference in our problems. He does not provide any evidence for this claim, but there is evidence against it. Houston has no zoning rules at all, though it does have some land use regulations.10 As a result, it is dramatically easier to build in Houston than to build in Los Angeles or San Francisco or Seattle or Boston. In 2023, the San Francisco metro area issued about 7,500 new housing permits. The Boston metro area issued 10,500. New York City, Newark, and Jersey City—together—issued slightly fewer than 40,000. The Houston metro area issued almost 70,000.11 This divergence is decades old, and its consequences are clear. Houston has the lowest homelessness rate of any major US city. Officials estimate that it costs $17,000 to $19,000 to house a homeless resident of Houston, with about $12,000 of that going to housing and the rest to wraparound services.12 In San Francisco, the cost is between $40,000 and $47,000 annually, with about $35,000 going to housing costs alone.

In 2023, Walgreens admitted that the company had overblown its prior claims about retail theft, and investigative reporting debunked the hysteria by showing that reported shoplifting was decreasing and that the company had planned the store closures for unrelated business reasons.
